It’s ok
I stuck this down without caulking and it popped right off. I pushed it down again and it’s holding for now. It’s catching the water so it doesn’t go over the side. I’m sure at some point I’ll need to caulk it.

I needed a cheap but effective way of stopping water from dripping on the floor. Since I had to reposition it until I found the right spot I added caulk.
