Wonderful fence that provides a lot of peace of mind
Wonderful fence that provides a lot of peace of mind! Have 3 of these fences strung together to rotate pasture for our 4 Babydoll Sheep and KuneKune pig. I use a P50 Patriot charger for these 3 as well as about 120 yards of poly wire to protect vineyards from same said creatures! My Great Dane, who would love nothing more than a lamb and pork feast is terrified of the fence after one time of testing it and won't go near it. The sheep and pig don't test the fence but I've seen them accidently graze into it a few times and it clearly does the job. We have a lot of coyotes and Bobcats, and while I don't leave my livestock out at night, I feel confident after seeing it easily repel the Dane. I've accidently shocked myself on it many more times than any animal and can attest that this fence is no joke when it comes to power!Very easy setup and tear-down. I move it myself every few weeks without any issue. The newer ones I purchased about 3 months ago have a much better stake than the ones of the same brand I purchased 8 months ago. Much more sturdy. Highly recommended!

It was pretty quick to set up
We live in the country with our chickens by a wooded river area. There are coyotes and racoons everywhere. We have been using this fence around our coop since the beginning of September, 2014 (about 4 months) without any issues of critters bothering the chickens. The fence is 42 inches tall, but our chickens never even offer to fly out, and they had previously been known to roost in trees at times. We use the Parmak Solar Pak 6 charger with it. It was pretty quick to set up, as well. The only thing I would recommend is to buy additional stakes to stake it down between posts better. We did have a rabbit chew through the bottom strand once when the fence was off, but it was fairly easy to repair with the repair kit that came with it.

Good for the money. Good for beginners.
This is my first ever electric fence experience. It works and hold in hogs (grew from 20 to 50 lbs) and chickens. I didn't know it at first but the first two horizontal wires are not electrified. The verticle strands are not electrified and can be grabbed onto when you need to shake debris off the net. We do find that the poles are relatively flimsy and are difficult to get the fence held up tightly. Our corner poles are severly bent when pulled tight. They are also single pronged and the metal is prong bends faily easily. That being said it is the cheapest fence we could find. Hogs started to get out once they realized they could slip under the unelectrified bottom without getting shocked (particularly when they root debris up to it). So we started flaring out the skirt so they would encounter the higher electric strand first and added an aditional electrified strand 6 inches up and tight between poles and that solved the problem. Our pig hunting dogs tried to get at the pigs inside and let out a good yelp when they got shocked. Now they just stare intently but don't try to get in. Good protection for all our animals! The pigs, chickens and bunnies take down vegetation pretty fast and we're thinking about adding a second net and trying to put a young cow in the mix. Might be a bad idea but only one way to find out...

Great electric fence!
Great electric fence! Our dogs, chickens, turkeys and guineas are safe from the coyotes and wild dogs now. We put the fence enclosing the chicken coop, garden and dog run so the animals could enjoy roaming around the field. Once, we found a young coyote inside the fence and he couldn't get out. It seems that his mother and him came by one night, jumped the fence and when getting out they bit the fence and got shocked; the mama left the youngster behind. Now the coyotes come around but don't get in the fence. It worked out great.!

Good, easilly made excellent
Purchased to protect our chickens from wandering dogs, coyotes and foxes. Net is well built, included poles are functional but too far apart (12') and flexible to reliably withstand the impact of a charging dog. This was easilly fixed by adding a standard step-in electric fence pole between each of those provided with the net. We're using a solar powered Parmak to power the fence and in this configuration have found it to be effective against dogs and coyotes while remaining safe for the chickens. Interestingly both the chickens and coyote have learned to recognize the noise of the Parmak charging the fence. A complication we hadn't expected but for us an overall positive. Perversely the neighbors dog appears to be fairly clueless and still hits the fence occasionally. The fence gives but doesn't collapse and the dog quickly exits the yard after the zap. The steel spike on one of the poles was bent during one of the dog incidents but has remained functional. This fence is easilly moved, making it perfect for a rotating pasture system on flat terrain. We roll it up from one end with the integral poles in place and roll it out in the new location. Tear down and setup takes us about 30 minutes. Finally a comment on the Parmak fence charger. We live in the convergence zone NE of Seattle. One of the wettest places in the USA. November through February are frankly grim with respect to the weather but this solar charger has a large enough panel to remain effective with this net. Very happy with the combination of the Parmak with this net.

I don't recommend this fence.
This item is poorly made, fragile. The posts are too flimsy to hold the fence up off of the ground for bad grounding issues. The manufacture should have of included twice the posts to prevent sag in the fence. I do not recommend you to buy this fence.

Good product
Works well. One person can do this, two is better. Definitely packs a punch. Had a duck get caught and I had to turn it off before I could extract it - the charge went through the duck and shocked the heck out of me!

everything it claims and then some!
We are very happy with our fence. We bought it to keep our chickens in and all four legged creatures out. So far so good. The fence was very easy to assemble and we especially like the fact we can easily move it from one section to another.
