Granite. Love it? care for it!
Granite. God made mountains out of it. It is hard and dirty, not comfortable to sit on and its natural uneven surface makes it hard to really appreciate in the home. Then one day, a guy with a hammer (probably made from a chunk of granite) tapped the boulder and a slab fell off, and he drug it home. When he got it into his garage, he noticed the side that had been dragged was nice and shiny. It wasn't long before the luster wore off, and he needed something to give it that freshly dragged home look. He found this on Amazon and found getting that wonderful shine and surface protection was easier than dragging the slab through wild flowers and such. We owe that man a great debt.Tough as rocks are, granite in particular, can suck up colors as and other liquid things, so a sealer is recommended by most granite installers. This is what my granite installer used, and I am happy with the way my granite looks after 3 years of use and sealing. This works great, and protects the investment you have in natural stone. 5 stars!

VERY nice shine - while it lasts.
And no, the smell is minor - some people just have a finer sensitivity to certain odors. For me, the application was okay as well.I ordered this product:Granite and Marble Polish - Cleans and Protects - Italian Craftsman -- and it is pretty good. But, it keeps coming off – rubbed off/wiped away. And I’ve stripped the table down and sanded it (3,000 grit and higher sand paper), to ensure the polish soaks into the Marble. Is there a sealer I can use on “top” of this polish….I am not sure what to get - one that actually works at sealing in the polish that is.But like I said, it does a good job of polishing, for a while.

Great polisher and cleaner
This product works really well as a polisher and cleaner. I had a marble tabletop with blemishes. Italian Craftsman beautifully shined up the surface and cleaned up the blemishes. The instructions suggest using a "terry cloth type material" as an applicator. I used one terry cloth towel as an applicator and a separate one as a buffer. The results were excellent. Was thinking I'd have to have a professional redo my marble tabletop. Italian Craftsman saved the day! A very highly recommended product for marble and granite.

Pleasantly Surprised
After reading the reviews I wasn't super optimistic however I ended up being pleasantly surprised. A new housekeeper severely scratched the brand new marble counters in my guest bath and while the scratches are still there this made them much less noticeable. To see them you need to look at the right angle whereas before they were obvious immediately. Also worked removing some spots on the marble counters in my bathroom that I thought were a lost cause. Tempted to try this in my kitchen as well but not sure if it's a good idea to use on a matte finish marble, the bathrooms are polished and this made them extra shinny. It's a large bottle and a little goes a long way so I don't anticipate having to purchase frequently.

Did Not Work
I purchased this in hopes of erasing some water stains around a bathroom sink on a beautiful slab of stone. These spots are not able to be felt and seem to be below the otherwise smooth and shiny surface.I applied this sauce 3x to a test patch at the bottom side of the sink where the spots were mostly concentrated. Applied liberally, rubbed in (by bare hand), waited ~5 minutes, then buffed out with a clean terrycloth. I cannot see any change whatsoever. Spots did not fade nor disappear. Test patch is no shinier than the adjacent surfaces. For me, it did not work.
