Worked like a charm when hanging drywall
Used this bit tip for hanging drywall in my basement. Made spackling much much easier. Would recommend for DIY laymans like myself.

Works great
I am putting up drywall in my basement with a drill.Sometimes I would leave a screw head out too far or rip the paper going in to much.I tried one first. They work really nice put the head in low enough to not scrape and dimpled enoughto mud the screw in evenBut the Philips head would get worn after I would spend a long time (lots of sheets)using the drill. So I bought a pack of 5 way better. When one starts spilling just change it.

Sinks drywall screws perfectly
This bit was exactly what I needed to properly seat drywall screws for some patches I was doing. It works fine with my cordless driver/drill. It's a good, cheap alternative to a screw gun for those of us who don't do drywalling all day every day. Now I just need to figure out how not to lose the tiny thing, like the last one I bought :-)

Its a consumable, you will need more than one
I used these to drywall a small divider wall. They were pretty handy. Only 25% of my screws were perfectly set. The other 75% went in a little crooked but thats user error not the tool. They do wear out rather quickly but its because of the way they work. If you want one that will last longer you need to get a real drywall screw gun.

DIdn't set enough of a dimple
These really didn't set a deep enough dimple, we had to check each individual screw and set more than half a little deeper. I changed bits because I though maybe they were worn down and not grabbing the screw enough but even with a new bit, we still had the problem. They did keep us from setting any screws too deep so I guess that's a win. Overall, I would probably look to purchase something different next time.

Excellent setter bit tip!
I have been using this setter for a while now and it is really helpful. The drywall screws end up right where you want them, a slight dimple below the drywall.steer is sturdy, well built, no complains at allOne thing to watch for is that you need to keep your drill perpendicular to the surface or otherwise the dimple is not even

rywall screw setter
It limits how much the drywall screw can go into the drywall - a real asset if you have ever used screws to do drywall before. If you use a regular screwdriver, drill too far, break the paper on the drywall, then you know that you have to put another screw in. Breaking the paper on drywall when screwing eliminates the holding power of the screw. This screw driver allows you to "dimple" the surface with the screw, not breaking the paper surface, and allowing adequate room for the finishing compound that would be later applied. Good buy and I am glad that I bought them.
