Metal is magnetic(attracts magnets), smooth edges, all of the different lengths are 9mm (approx. 5/16") wide, metal is sturdy, has good weight and does not bend(difficult to bend if you tried), case arrived in perfect condition and top of case fits snugly to the bottom portion.

I like this set. I have already replaced all my plastic versions with this. I like that they cover a verity of sizes for different collar styles. I also like how sturdy it is. The plastic ones bend easily especially if you forget to remove them and accidentally wash and dry them which causes them to loose its shape.
