I always loved the versatility that the nato rail system offers but have grown to dislike how bulky it made my setup. I had no idea Smallrig offered a slimmed down version of the popular nato rail. May not seem like much but those few extra mm makes a big difference to keeping the nato rail nearly flush with the cage. My previous nato rail from another brand bulged out too much from the top of my cage and it would always get caught on the inside of my backpack when removing/inserting my camera from the top zip compartment. Aesthetics aside it is functionally superb. It's hard to mess up on a basic product like a nato rail. The safety catches work without issue. I'm a happy camper. I'll be sure to grab more of these when the need arises. So long to bulky nato rails! i have seen complaints from others that there isn't enough clearance on the bottom of the nato rail for certain attachments but so far I have had zero issue with all my nato rail attachments. YMMV.
