Rusco1-1/2-140SS-F Stainless Steel Screen Spin-Down Filter System

The filter unit works very well and was pretty easy to install. I should have done more research about the filter mesh size. I'm using it for my yard irrigation system and the 140 mesh is probably not the right one. The only reason I couldn't give it another star is the flush valve that comes with it. It is SO hard to turn I feel like it could break the filter housing if I didn't hold both parts while "trying" to turn it.

Durable reuseable ss filter parts available many different screen sizes at a verry good price all good! Put one of their hot water models in my radiant floor systems love it

It works real well

I installed the 1.5” unit about 2 weeks ago.I don’t have a big/ heavy sediment problem but my well is about 15 years old and there’s some sand coming up during high use.Prior to the filter I experienced faucet aerators clogging and inlet screens on my washing machine & dishwasher collecting debris. Since installing the 250 SPINDOWN there’s been no particles big enough to cause issues enter the house. My only negative is the included 1/2” ball valve, they are trash.The valve is so stiff & tight that it puts unacceptable torque & stress on the filter body. I’ve read reviews where the bottom has snapped off trying to operate the flush valve.My resolution was to go purchase a higher quality schedule 80 1/2” ball valve with silky smooth action. If you go where many are available in a bin or box just go through them and select one that’s not too tight.I highly recommend the rusco spindown sediment filter and the ball valve issue is a minor problem easily solved.
