Is it a good choice for a pc setup to replace my wired 2.1 system? can i put a monitor on top of it?

Thanks for your inquiry. The B2 is quite solid, so you may be able to place a light monitor on top the unit if desired. If you decide to place a monitor on top of the B2, it may rattle or resonate at higher volumes, negatively impacting your listening experience. All-in-all, the B2 is an excellent sounding speaker system with a small footprint, but may not get the same channel separation available through a multi-speaker setup. Does this speaker turn off automatically? If so, can I disable it

The B2 has a power-saving 'idle' mode that will start as soon as soon as the speakers stops receiving an audio signal. It will exit this 'idle' mode as soon as an audio signal is received again. However, as mentioned by others, this happens so quickly that it is not something you would actually notice. But they do not power down altogether.

Can I pair my computer and cellphone to this speaker? I want to avoid having to re-pair device when I switch between them.

The B2 accepts 1 bluetooth connection at a time. You would need to disconnect the current connection either from your source or the B2 before connecting to a new source.

where is this audioengine made?

I bought this speaker for my stepdad to use in his RV. He now uses it with his 40" flat screen tv at home. He also streams music to it from his computer. I use Audioengine HD6 speakers with my tv. Both these speaker systems are quality merchandise. My HD6 speakers are assembled in China. The B2 speakers are probably the same.
