You can use BodyGlide on any part of your body. I'm a bit confused by your question though. It won't stop you from sweating. But if your sweating is causing chaffing in those rrgions, it will most certainly help.

My son inner thighs burn when going into the ocean. Will this work for salt water burn as a barrier?

If applied well in advance before going, probably? It’s most likely the moisture of swim ware rubbing when leaving the water.
