Receiver as a gift: The basic idea and design are good. However, the screwdriver handle failed to hold the bits securely. Applying more tightening turning pressure resulted in nylon threads stripping. Now the bits fall out when one tips the screwdriver handle downward. Handle threads and tightening nut need to be made from brass. Hoping distributor will replace handle! Thanks, Douglas

Purchased one of these at a local retailer, absolutely terrible quality. The spudgers deformed while trying to open a tablet and the screwdriver is bad quality. It doesn't hold the bits tight enough so any pressure causes the bit to become lost in the handle.

I picked up this exact kit at KMart.I have, over time, created my own repair kit consisting of many of these exact bits and tools, including the spudgers (use either a guitar pick or for more heavy duty tasks---a baking stone scraper from Pampered Chef).This kit has all those tools designed for what they should be able to do: longer bits for deeply recessed screws, spudgers for prying apart pieces without scratching the work, a suction cup for removing glass screens (cell phones or similar).The case seems pretty sturdy. It has decently thick plastic all the way around with a snug fitting metal rod going through the hinges in back. The black parts of the case (on the bottom) are made of rubber which should keep it from sliding around---a nice touch.Overall, I like the kit, except with possibly one big exception---as the other reviewer mentioned---the nylon threads/receptacle in the multi purpose screwdriver. I have a similar screwdriver that uses the same type of thin/long bits and it has a metal receptacle as opposed to the nylon of this tool. I primarily work on laptops and also take apart hard drives and both (usually hard drives) will have screws that are tightly installed. I haven't used the set much yet but I can envision either the nylon holders beneath the collet stripping or possibly the nylon threads stripping or becoming cross-threaded.One other thing, a bit may fall into the screw driver handle as the handle itself is deep enough to hold the entire extension handle (4.5 inches). I checked and pushed a bit in there and was able to shake it out so it may be that the octagonal shape of the receptacle continues all the way down the handle. Using the extension all the time may prevent stress on the tip of the receptacle but that means tightening and loosening the collet and more stress on the nylon tip.Good price however---about the same as what I paid at Kmart and cheaper than another set on sale at Amazon selling for almost three times as much.Overall, I think the kit is a good value and time will tell if the nylon tip in the screwdriver holds up.
