Love this manga can on time

I can't wait for the next volume. They are just so cute especially Luka. Mito makes such a beautiful boy. I hope she ends up with Luka. I supposed that there might be some love triangle going on as well.

I really enjoyed the first novel in this. Its addictive and I cant wait to read the next volume!

Vampire Dormitory is a shojo about a young girl, Mito, who is not loved. Left alone after her parent's tragic death and abandoned by her aunt after she finishes high school, Mito struggles in life and tries to make her way into adulthood by having multiple jobs and camping on rooftops. Until the day she rushed into a café and bumped into Ruka, a vampire who loves manga and fictional women. When he asks Mito to become his thrall and at the same time to enter his dormitory, she can hardly refuse. Between staying with a handsome man and living in the streets, the choice is easily made. The problem is that Ruka believes Mito is a boy and he enrols her into a boy school, where everything becomes complicated. Here start the adventures of Mito and Ruka, and perhaps of a love story between a vampire and a human girl...I am not going to lie: I was really disappointed in this shojo. And I have to say that I am not difficult at all when it comes to reading them. Apart from the beautiful drawings, I wasn't fond of the plot. It wasn't particularly original and, even though it wouldn't be what bothers me normally, this time I thought that Ema Toyama missed an opportunity to write a good story. It was way too fast-paced, and the relationship between the two protagonists felt flat and cringe. Sometimes, I even thought that it was on the borderline of sexual harassment. Ruka does ask Mito if she consents to be his thrall, but he doesn't explicitly mention that it comes with other things like... well, sleeping together. I mean, they don't have sex, but the proximity between the two is a bit too much. He even comes to almost taking her clothes off.So, as you might understand, it wasn't a bop for me. Perhaps it's also because this book was directed toward a younger audience—teenagers. For this reason, I think I'd only recommend this manga to teenagers. I believe that young adults won't love this story as much as Toyama intended it to be.Thank you Netgalley and Kodansha for letting me read this eArc!

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed reading this manga. I was drawn to the concept of the 'unloved' protagonist. The plot was not very fresh but since I liked both the vampire & the cross dresser characters, I was able to keep going. The chibi art was so cute, it kept me giggling the whole way through. I am looking forward to Volume 2.

Oh it’s been so long since I’ve read a vampire title. I was extra excited from this mangaka tackling a supernatural. Ema has a very appealing shoujo style and reading aboa kun confessions as my first read from her stuck out to me. This first volume was hot and the main boys looked beautiful. The story similar to another vampire story “He’s my only vampire” which why I loved it a lot. I like Mito main female here disguised as a girl but backed with up reason that gripped me to her character, feeling empathy towards. This manga has perfect set up for a seductive romance to blossom and if that Is your thing like for me then you’ll love this. !! I’m addicted hehe

This is literally one of the best mangas I have ever read!! Hot guys? Hot vampires? Love? The scenes with vampire bites that are incredibly hot!! Ugh! It’s got everything and I am now ordering the next volume! I cannot get enough!! 10/10

Wasn't sure if I would like this one or not, but because of the anime coming out, I thought I should give it a try. Very insta-lovey but innocent and fun at the same time, and i do love a cross-dressing trope!
