Triumph TR6: The Complete Story

I got this for my boyfriend, he is planning to restore a TR6.It's a great looking book with a lot of colored images and 'glossy' pages. It's hardcover, seems to be good quality and binding seems to be well made. It's relatively large, would make a great coffee table book if that's your thing. Goes into a good amount of detail on the history the car, 'famous' people and their TR6's; racing history, different body colors available at different years of the car, it's definitely neat.Overall if you want to learn more about this car, this book is a good place to start, my boyfriend really enjoyed it. You can tell that the person who wrote it cared about the subject material.

We bought a custom built TR6 in 1971 and agreed to pick it up at the factory in Coventry, England. We ordered Jasmine Yellow as shown on the book cover. They rolled out a brown one. When I protested they said they weren’t painting yellow that day. Since it was custom built with left side steering wheel and we had flown from Chicago we had no choice but to accept it. We drove it for 10 years and sold it for what we paid for it. I’d still be driving the car if it had been yellow!

Very informative book on the development and lifespan of the Triumph TR-6, which most people consider the last of the real British Sports Cars. It covers the backstory of the brand, earlier and later models and Motorsport. A good read.

Very informative and in concert with several other books made me rethink my decision to purchase a TR6. Not in a bad way just more informed and better prepared knowing the history. I had already owned a TR4 A and this provided information I would have liked to know a long time ago. Probably would never have sold my TYR4A.

Fascinating read for a TR6 fan. Could perhaps have said less about the earlier models and more about the TR6 design, but that is a quibble rather than a complaint.
