Reliable, clean, and better than hatchbox
So far this is proving to be my go to filament. I never realized how important filament quality was until i had a bad run in with hatchbox; which took me by surprise because they are supposed to be a reliable filament company. With hatchbox, i was getting lots of gaps in prints (very obvious when you are printing lithophanes). No matter how much i tweaked my settings for extrusion, heat, retraction, etc (in the end, i suspect the filament had tolerance issues, my calipers showed this and the prints showed theis). I went through over 3 quarters of the roll running troubleshooting and calibrations prints and was not getting anywhere. I bought a few other rolls of white filament to rule out filament issue and boom, the difference on stock printer settings was immediately noticeable. This is a very good filament. Prints clean, no issues. Sounds dumb to say this, but, it prints just like PLA should. The white color is just that, WHITE! lithophanes print great/consistent in shades. NO GAPS! which was a huge plus for me. And yeah, its a very RELIABLE pla with no exotic additives or settings which makes a world of a difference. So far, here is what i have to compare it to (white/pla):Hatchbox: huge waste of time and money. still feeling upset about this. inconsistent tolerances, layers looked smushed or melted together, and no settings out there would correct the issue.Paramount3d; It prints good on regular figurines and objects, but on lithophanes the thin areas look transparent and almost shiny; so definitely not something i would use for lithophanes. Other than that, prints as it should so no regrets.labelpros: reliable, clean prints, i can print with confidence lithophanes (both big and small), large elephant figurines across the plate (no warping), and the color is right where it should be for white filament. At the moment it is my go to filament (I had first tried black when i first got my printer and that came out awesome as well. depending on speed and temp, your black prints can come out glossy or matte).

Product inconsistency jammed my hot nozzle. I got 2 good prints then it just kept not working at any temp. Changed plastic and it's now working perfectly.

I have been searching for good values on filament on the internet
THIS REVIEW IS FOR: Nextpage 3D Printer Filament GT-PLA Material 1.75mm Dimensional Accuracy +/- 0.05mm 1kg/2.2bls WhiteBeing new to 3D printing, I have been searching for good values on filament on the internet. When I was given the opportunity to review this material at a good price, I decided to give it a try. The filament came well sealed in a vacuum bag with a desiccant pack, placed in a cardboard box. At this time I only have access to a 3D pen (can’t wait to get my 3D printer here, waiting for it to ship) I will be reviewing this filament based on use in the pen alone. I have been playing around with some of this filament in black and white (I have both now) in the pen using the standard PLA settings (speed 2 temp 170) this filament fed just like the sample of filament that came with the pen. This filament is pretty shiny compared to all the other filament I have seen, even when extruded it still has some shine to it. Upon completion of playing with this filament, removal of the left over filament was very easy (just push reverse button and back filament out of pen) and the “blob” was removed as well. Once I get my printer (Duplicator i3) I will try this filament in it and try to remember to report back. No complaints thus far.Disclaimer: This product was provided at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review. I use reviews to make purchasing decisions and would never post one that didn't reflect my honest opinion. The views in my review are based only on the product and not the discount received. Works great in the Davinci 1.0 Pro
I'm new to 3D printing and have recently purchased a XYZPrinting Davinci 1.0 Pro. It's taken me a little bit of trial and error to get things to work right since I'm new at this, but, I can say I'm very pleased with this filament. I printed my first Tyrannosaurus Rex skull with this and it turned out really good. I only printed the model at 80mm so it's not full sized, but I wanted to give it a try and didn't want to waste a bunch of filament if I messed up, sort of wish I had tried a larger model since this one came out so good.Next I printed a candy dish for my wife, another one that turned out really good too, my wife was very impressed with it, which makes it even better.I used 200C for the extruder temperature and 60C for the heated bed. These setting work seem to work very well for this filament.I'll be buying more filaments from Nextpage as I'm really happy with how the prints turned out.ments below
