PC Gaming on Your Sofa is Now Comfortable
Finally, I can comfortably play PC games in my living room. It doesn't matter what position I sit in on my couch this lapboard stays put on my lap and always feels well balanced, even though I have a relatively heavy track ball type mouse sitting on mine. The mouse never slips off either thanks to the included clip. That clip attaches to a rail that spans the length of the keyboard so I am hoping they release a clip accessory that will hold a tablet so I can run the Battlefield companion app to view the in-game mini-map while playing Battlefield 1 on my TV. Both the mouse and my headset plug directly into the keyboard which is super convenient. I only wish the connector from the lapboard to the USB cable that attaches to the PC had a twist lock to secure it. A few times while playing I have accidentally disconnected it when it slipped under my leg and I tugged on the keyboard but this is a very minor complaint. This lapboard is very high quality German construction too so I expect it will last for many years. It was hard for me to purchase this sight unseen, especially with such a high price tag, but now that I have it I honestly would be willing to pay more for it. It really is that good!

The best couch gaming solution, period.
I have tried the Razer mentioned above, a Corsair Lapdog, and many DIY solutions... this is absolutely the perfect design in every way. The wrist rest is comfortable and placement feels spot on, the mouse area is just the right size (and I like low sensitivity settings) the unit is incredibly light, and most importantly, it is just the right size. Not too large like the Lapdog (that thing is gargantuan and way too unwieldy and heavy) and the Razer is no better than playing on a clipboard it's so small. It also handles everything through a single cord with two USB plugs (no stupid power adapter like the lapdog) and works shockingly well with a XIM on console systems as well. You can plug the controller into the SOVA and then the SOVA into the XIM without the XIM's rear plug needing a controller plugged into it to be recognized. It is just the perfect device for couch gaming. My only complaints are the mechanical version has very loud keys, and it isn't RGB. I don't normally care about RGB, but games that support AlienFX legitimately give you useful feedback on health/events/etc. when they support that, and after having that I miss it. Other than that, if you have any interest in this type of product, this is the product to buy, hands down.

Great for the couch with few negatives.
Until I found this couch solution I made a custom one out of wood that worked for me. Then I saw this on you tube and knew I had to have it. I got the mechanical keyboard version and I think it works just fine. I agree that it is a little mushy but it feels good to me and is very responsive. The mousepad is huge and slick so yes your mouse will fall off. I was used to that with my setup so it doesn't bother me.I have a wireless mouse with a wired attachment for charging so when it annoys me I can hook it to that and it isn't an issue. I love the wrist rest space and while it doesn't have a pad that's ok because I use it in a LaZBoy chair so the arms are my rests. I can game all day without discomfort. I love the quick disconnect cable so I can unplug it and stow it when not in use too. There are some negatives, 1 especially if you like to tinker with your BIOS\EFI. You will need a separate keyboard as this one may not be recognized until you get to Windows. I have my old keyboard so its a minor annoyance. The other is that the software is very new so they are still fixing bugs. Mine crashes on occasion but I don't use Macros yet so the keyboard functions fine without it. Something to keep in mind. The software works fine but it just needs work. Also the fact that it is not RGB might be a negative for some people. I like the blue color so I don't mind.

Units appear to have multiple Technical flaws.
I purchased this item in conjunction with the Kova mouse from Roccat. After only a few days use I reinstalled my previous units. Here are my complaints about the inits:1. The cable connections are flimsy and easily separate.2. The units will not remain synced with my PC. After a small amount of time I receive a message from my PC that these devices are not recognizedand all functions cease. I need to disconnect and reconnect the units to get them to work for me. I installed Roccat Swarm with all the updatesand adjusted these units with that program. No help.3. Units would send spurious signals to my pc disrupting programs in progress.4. Button lighting is weak even on its highest settings5. Documentation is poor with no explanation to the various key functions. As with most tech websites navigation is poor and was of no help to me.This was my first experience with Roccat and probably my last
