These guards work great! They get double duty because I also use them when I weed eat the yard. They are durable and very comfortable.

I wore these on a weekend-long off-trail survival hike. I only saw one snake and was never struck by one, but because the material is thick and durable, I feel that I would be well protected. The tabs that went over my shoe tops were held in place by Velcro straps which in turn held the entire gaiter in position. Great product!

I live in North Florida, and in the boonies, so I don't go stomping around backwoods without some form of "don't bite me protection." The larger the snake, the higher the strike, and these will protect you up to the average sized male knee (I'm 5'10").
