Android TV Box, [2018 model] 4K android 6.0 Amlogic S905X Quad Core 5G Wifi Smart TV Box

just received the product yesterday, so this review may be premature, but here is my input. So far I am loving this android TV box. It came well packaged with everything needed to get it setup and going (connecting to power, tv, and internet).The remote control works very well and is fast/responsive. One drawback with the remote and on screen keyboard is that when you go all the way to the left, if you hit left again most devices scroll it through to the right side of the keyboard, this doesn't, so you have to click all the way right if you were to go from "a" to "L" as an example. Not a big deal though as I ended up using a wireless keyboard and mouse setup anyways.As for the pre-loaded apps, and overall functionality, they all worked well right from setup. this is essentially a mini-computer using android software.Some reviews complained about buffering and slow loading, but keep in mind your own home internet speed and bandwidth availability. Those play more of a role into streaming speeds than the hardware itself.A friend of mine paid about the same price for his unit which is a different product, but his definitely is slower considering his is 1GB/8GB, and not just for streaming, his is slower even with loading apps themselves that don't require internet.Thus far, excellent product and exceeded my expectations, especially at this price.

I had recently bought a dolamee android box with 1 gig of ram, and this box blows that box out of the water as far as I'm concerned. This one is much quicker in every way. The remote didn't work very well but the seller replaced it cause it was just not workin right.All in all, best 50 bucks I've spent in quite awhile.Whether or not you buy this one, just make sure you get something with atleast 2 gigs of ram. ! gig just isnt enough to run kodi and other things right

This product was to replace a Mi Box. Right out of the box I noticed that the remote control lacks the ability to scroll through the google app store, forcing me to use a mouse and keyboard just to download the apps I wanted to install. The control is also extremely short ranged and very sensitive when it does decide to work. The unit itself worked about 60% of the time, but the rest of the time, it keeps stopping to say I need to update the unit. When I click ok and allow it to download, it immediately stops and says "Not downloaded". I don't know exactly what it is trying to download in the first place. I assumed it was a fix for the thing but nothing ever came of it. Another problem is constant lock ups and having to unplug it for a hard restart. I have done everything that I can to make this thing work and it just didn't work. Eventually we went with a firestick. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone as it is frustrating and annoying- on top of that, it isn't worth the money. Just spend a little bit more and get an actual Mi Box or Firestick.TL;DR - This thing sucks.

Great Box !!! Kodi runs solid on this box and I havent had any lags. The remote is also very simple and has all the functions I need to easily get through Kodi. The OS interface has a nice layout as well.

This one, after a week of using it died on me. I didn’t use it right away after I boughg it. I wanted to wait until I was travelling. At first, it was freezing on me. So I tuned it on and off. Then after, it became completely unresponsive. I can’t return it now since it is past the days I am allowed to return it. And I didn’t buy the warranty. The box is completely useless. It is very upsetting since I was hoping I can watch the NFL playoffs. Another thing is that it heats up fast. Then that is when it freezes.

i like the tv box. it works as expected. however i find it very annoying to be in the kodi system and something gets confused. i click on the home button exit kodi, go back into kodi and into the same mess i left. it needs to be unplugged or left off for at least a min or more to wipe the rom or ram and then go back into kodi. actually it is very annoying. it does work as it should. i wouldnt buy it again. i would recommend it if you have patience.

Neat concept. Many bugs.Honestly the only thing I wanted this for was to watch TV from a hard drive.This thing keeps having an audio issue where I cannot mute it with it's own remote.I have to side step it and mute the TV directly.Quite annoying, although not a deal breaker.It can read some video encodes my previous media box would not play however....This feels much glitchier in comparison. Sad day. If anyone figures out a work around please let me know.

This product arrived without the remote control, it has no physical power button - does not power on upon power cord insertion. Basically was useless. Also it was not branded TX5 Pro, it had a sticker on the enclosure's top that looked very cheesy and said "TC Streams", the package that it came in did have a label mentioning TX5 Pro, but it also had the TC Streams sticker on that box. Not sure what happened with my order, I'm giving it 2 stars instead of one because the seller was quick to respond and cooperated in the refund process. I could have possibly been satisfied if the remote control had came with the unit, as the brand wouldn't have been important as long as the specs were proper. Sadly I didn't even get a chance to use it period.
