Bought these as new carriers for my two cats for a JetBlue flight - apparently their dimensions are smaller than some other airlines. Had to buy these last minute as the other brand I originally ordered (through Jet.com) ended up being out of stock and wasn't alerted for several days. These ones came super fast and I think they're better than the ones I originally ordered anyway. Should have just stuck to Amazon like I do for everything.I loved the multiple entry and visibility options... one wants to see everything that is happening and the other is better off not knowing! Also helps if you're having trouble getting them in - at least there's another option to explore.Only change I would suggest is adding hooks at the ends for the shoulder strap instead of having to use the hand carrier hooks on a diagonal. When I had them over my shoulder, it was hard to keep them balanced sometimes especially when they were squirming around. But did like the multiple carry options (shoulder, hand, luggage handle), especially the option to attach to my rolling suitcase handle.

This bag made my flight from PA to CA very smooth (I flew Spirit airlines). I have a bit of a scaredy cat. While she was clearly a bit nervous about the whole ordeal, she was also very quiet the whole trip and clearly very comfortable.Every component is made of very good quality. After the trip, it still appears to be in new condition. The "mesh" screens are a strong (plastic?) material. There's no way a cat is going to claw or bite their way out of it.I love the three mesh screens and how the covers conveniently roll up when not in use. I opened the top when I was walking, so my cat only saw me and not everybody else. And I opened only one side when she was sitting next to me (same reason).The bag is also sturdy enough to stand on its side, which is how I lowered my cat into the bag. It was very easy to do alone.At the end of the trip, the soft bottom was absolutely covered in fur, which is no problem because you can remove the base, velcro off the soft pad, and put it in the wash!There is also a hook inside to attach to a collar, which I did not use for this trip, but it is worth mentioning.I'm very happy about this bag and highly recommend. The high quality and ease of transporting my cat was worth spending a little more than I usually would.UPDATE: Bought this in October. In the Spring, I noticed it starting to lose structural integrity. The side with the pocket has started to cave in some, I suppose because of the weight of the pocket. It doesn't seem to matter much when my adult cat is inside. Not sure if I should dock a star or not, since I feel like it is natural wear, and it isn't severe. We've used it several times as kitten foster parents, and the kittens played with it a decent amount too.EDIT: After about a year, it started to collapse. After about 2 years, it was pretty bad. Not bad enough to not use, but enough that I had to prop it up just so. It just got stolen :( so I'm trying a different kind.

Updated review two months after purchase:This bag doesn't hold up very well. I've only used this bag a handful of times and my cat only weighs 7 pounds. But my bag doesn't look like what's on the picture anymore. It seems to have lost its structure and looks collapsed. The wires on the sides seemed to just have lost its strength and are bent inward, making the space inside smaller. I didn't toss my bag around and used it gentle and so am disappointed.I am planning on an international flight in the next couple months so I am trying to get my cat used to this carrier now! She doesnt seem to hate this as much as she did her old metal carrier. I think it's durable and works well as a pet carrier! My cat is 7 pounds and a petite cate FYI

After a disappointing order from another company (which I returned due to inaccurate sizing instructions and shoddy material), I was hesitant to buy another carrier online. I took a chance on this one and I'm glad I did. It's more expensive but the quality is outstanding. It has wonderful features that I would have expected to see at a higher price point. The zippers are good, the construction is sturdy and substantial enough that I would trust it for long trips or airline flights. I've already used it for a half-hour trip and it performed better than I hoped. Some reviewers have stated that the bottom sags from the weight of their pet. My cat is about 8.5 pounds. It didn't sag for her. The carrying strap is admittedly awkward, but it wasn't a deal-breaker for me. I got the medium size so it would be roomy enough for her to turn around and move a bit inside. This was true to size and exactly what I wanted. Also, the mesh is sturdy enough that I doubt even a determined cat could break through it. If that's a concern, however, there's a secured leash inside to clip to your pet's collar so it can't escape. Since cat's necks are delicate and easily injured, I would only clip this to a cat harness, not ever to the collar. I will buy this again but I doubt I'll need to replace it. It's built to last. I don't give many 5-star ratings, but this one earned it.

After reviewing multiple pet carriers, I selected this brilliantly designed carrier for multiple airline flights with our cat. We flew both Delta and Alaska Airlines without any difficulty. The carrier is made of strong nylon type material, stretchy plastic mesh, and has a hard plastic removable bottom panel to support the pet’s weight. The privacy flaps helped calm our cat during take offs, throughout our flight, and during multiple layovers. Having the appearance of a gym bag, hardly anyone knew we were traveling with a pet, which was a big plus. The side pocket was big enough for us to put her traveling water/food dishes, a toy and some food. The carrier also came with a name tag, where we put her vaccination and health certificate paperwork. The interior was roomy enough for our 11 pound cat to move around in with ease. Bottom line: I love this carrier, our 10 year old kitty loves it more, and we would definitely recommend it!
