I sprained my ankle. I wore a similar air cast years ago for a similar injury and ordered it. This one does not fit the same and gave me no ankle support. No matter how tight I tightened the velcro, but it was way above my ankle and gave no ankle stability. There was no way to tighten it around my ankle, only around my calf and I could fit my whole hand on either side of my ankle. I was annoyed that this item was not returnable, so this was a total waste of money and time.

I wound up returning this one since it’s winter and I’d be wearing more dark colored pants but it’s same as the one in black I ordered and kept. My doctor suggested an air cast after I had a pretty bad sprained ankle. It definitely helped a lot for the first few weeks by keeping my ankle stable. I was able to wear flats with it on but that was all. Eventually it began being uncomfortable on my inner ankle bone and couldn’t really adjust it enough to correct that.

I found it impossible to get a shoe on over these things. The bottom is way too thick and bulky. Worthless. Upon further review some shoes will work, but it's difficult.

The brace fit so poorly on my small foot that it was more painful on than off. I don’t think the size is an issue in my opinion.
