Tilda Tries Again (Big Bright Feelings)

In this story, Tilda’s world is turned upside down and everything feels topsy-turny. Things that used to be easy are suddenly difficult. So Tilda decides to give up and do nothing. That’s when she notices a ladybug stuck on its back. Tilda watches the little creature wiggle and struggle over and over again until at last it flies away. Tilda realizes that if something so small can keep going, she can, too!⁣⁣This book shares an important message about resilience, overcoming obstacles, and having a growth mindset. The illustrations capture Tilda’s feelings beautifully. It would be an amazing addition to your SEL shelf.⁣

Tilda turns her life around by trying again.Trying again is a good concept to teach but this book doesn't quite hit the mark. Tilda is trying again but she has no concrete problem to solve which means the story doesn't really stick in the mind and the book is more of a whimper than a bang. It's a shame because we all need to remember the lesson that this book is trying to teach.

Kids learn from stories, and this one teaches patience and perseverance, two essential characteristics for healthy success.

This series is brilliant! They explain very complex feelings in a very relatable way. My daughter loves them and they convey important messages effortlessly. I will buy all of them

All of the books in the Big Bright Feelings series are amazing. Excellent word choice, simple explanations of complex feelings, and engaging illustrations and colour palette. The. Best.Note: if you are buying books to give as gifts, keep in mind that sometimes they arrive with damage.

It is very tough to explain to a 4 year old as to why only Tildas world is upside down and the same laws of physics are not applicable on everyone else.Idea that one is facing difficulties while others are alright. But the platform to deliver the message is too unreal.
