I absolutely love this Hrulu17-key ocean resin kalimba. Beautiful sound, nice finger touch with perfect bend to tines. It's a very pretty instrument. When I advanced to the 34-key Hluru, I was disappointed that the bend in tines was not the same. For me, personally, I find it is more difficult to smoothly strum the cords on the 34-key because the tines are straighter when compared to the nice curved tine of the 17-key. However, I do love the rich resonating sound of the 34-key model.

I bought this kalimba because I was looking for a smaller kalimba with less keys (I already have large 32 key). Initially, I saw this one being advertised on Instagram, and was enticed by the see-through epoxy water design and whale (there's also a small jellyfish next to the whale). But I was thrilled with my purchase because it was so much better than I expected. The notes and numbers on the keys make it easy to learn how to play songs; the size is fantastic because it fits well in your hands and the full set of keys is easily accessible. It's also very portable. Seems very durable, the craftsmanship is high quality. The sound is also very beautiful - it reminds me of the sound musical boxes make. I am very pleased with my purchase! :)

This kalimba is every bit as lovely as I'd hoped. The resonance is good, the tone is clear, and it's pretty to look at and display! Once in a while I get a slight buzz in a few tines, but so far it's nothing a little wiggle back and forth won't fix.This isn't my first kalimba, and I will say the tines took some getting used to. The ends are curved downwards more than your average kalimba, so it felt like my nails were slipping off when I tried to play. After adjusting my playing a little, the tines feel quite flexible and easy on the thumbs. The weight isn't as heavy as an acrylic kalimba and the size is not as bulky as an open box style. The volume is a good medium but the length the notes resonate is wonderful!A possible downside is that this kalimba only comes with a fabric carry bag, not a hard case, so traveling with it may be problematic. I'm not sure how finding a case to fit this one would go as the dimensions are a little unusual for the cases I've found, but I opted to instead buy a Kimi acrylic dolphin stand so I can display this one when it's not in use. It's a super cute combination.

I absolutely loved it. It was so beautiful when I got it and it came in tune with no dead keys. Though not even 24 hours after receiving it I noticed the resin leaking from a small whole on the bottom. Luckily I was able to stop it though with some sort of glue used for plumbing. It sealed the whole and its no longer leaking. Overall though I quite enjoy it, its a beautiful instrument and the sound is quite lovely.

Bought as a portable gift for son who enjoys piano. He takes it everywhere, though learns how to play through youtube. Buying new things from unknown sellers can create anxiety but this item was more than expected. Was as advertised in photo but looks much better in hand. The wood is thick and fully finished and parts secure. Even sits well in bag. Mind, this is an instrument and should be treated as such. I would recommend buying a case. The end note prongs will require adjustment if bumped. The hammer is heavy and well effective for re-tuning. Using a tuning app helps greatly. I would definitely recommend buying this.

I am so impressed with this little kalimba! It's smaller than my other hollow-body kalimba, but the size, shape, weightiness, and glossy finish feel great in my hands. It's very beautifully made, and the resin ocean detail really makes it special. I am not a pro, but I think it sounds fantastic. It's quieter than a hollow-body instrument, but the notes are very clear and more resonant than I was expecting. This is a kalimba I want to keep near me throughout the day and take with me when I travel. Such a treat!

I wish that this would have been the very first kalimba that I bought. It arrived slightly out of tune (which is to be expected) but not too bad, every single tine sounds crisp and has great resonance. Overall it is just a beautiful kalimba, I couldn't ask for a better one. It is a bit quieter than my hollow kalimba, but not by a lot. It is the perfect noise level if you live with roommates. The only complaint is that I personally wish the end of the tines were at less of a downward angle, but I think I'll get used to it with time.

The media could not be loaded.  My 3 year old kalimba I received broke a few days ago, so I decided to just go for it and buy this one. The sound and design is just beautiful. Although, there are 3 hardly noticable indentions where the 'water' is, but since I was blown away with the other aspects of the instrument (and since I'm not too picky on damage) I would not drop any stars.

I just received it today, it is beautiful, made of high quality materials and sounds great. I am a male and my fingers are a little bigger than average, it would be better for someone with average or smaller fingers. Very highly recommended.
