These lights are bright and robust and exactly what I needed. Will be interesting to see how long they last

I have been working with Dragon Light via email since I installed my bulb into a photosensor fixture. The bulb failed after a few minutes in the fixture. I emailed Dragon and explained the situation and they resent me another bulb without cost. They kept in contact with me until receipt of the bulb and afterwards until I "tested" the bulb. I first tested the bulb in a standard socket and used it for more than an hour without any problems whatsoever--extremely bright. I was very hesitant to "test" it in the "photosensor" fixture again as I highly suspected that it would fail again. And on que it did fail within a few minutes. I provided the results of this "testing" to Dragon and they did state they would revise their notice regarding "not to use with ballast fixtures" to include "photosensor fixtures". Now, I do not know if my fixture also had a ballast (not sure?), but the first time I wanted to try it out on that light fixture I had my doubts that it would work--and it failed. Anyway, to keep it short--I appreciate that Dragon worked with me on this. GOD bless.

I was surprised at how compact this bulb is when I opened the Amazon box. However, I was blown away by the brightness once I flipped the switch. I have a 12yd basement archery range that my kids and I use regularly and have three of these bulbs illuminating the length of it. The light output is great and the warm white color makes it a bit easier on the eyes than a harsh blue-white daylight type bulb.The bulb has a small internal fan that keeps it cool during use and I can feel warm air being pulled out from underneath. After using these bulbs for about a month, I can hear the fan making what sounds like a harsher noise than when I first installed it. So far, the fans and bulbs are working just fine, but I think the weak link will be the fans. If and when they do die, the bulb will have no way to keep cool and likely fail from overheating. I am hoping to be able to find a way to take apart the bulb and replace the fan should that happen. So far, I am giving 4 stars for longevity, since I haven't been using it long enough, but the fan is making me a tad suspicious. I will update this review once I have more time using it.

I converted a 100w sodium HID with this. To do a correct replacement, you should remove the existing ballast and capacitor from the HID. This is brighter than sodium bulb, it is instant on, it is a warmer color temperature, and there is no noticable flicker. The only thing to pay attention to is the length/size of this-it is massive.If anything goes wrong, I'll update this review.

We have a large garage (1500 sq ft) and my husband was always complaining about enough light even though he had 300W incandescent bulbs. I bought this LED bulb and he loves it. It puts out 14000 lumens and is warm white, not that ugly blue LED. I bought two more and the whole garage is lit up. So instead of 1200 W, he is only using 400 W and getting more light. The bulb was pretty pricey but it's guaranteed for five years. There is a warranty card in the box which you fill out and send a picture to the supplier. They responded so I know they received it. This is WAY better than most suppliers that say there is a warranty.

The bulb had been working great until the subzero temperatures hit. Then all it would do was rapidly flash on and off like a strobe all night long. When the temperature warmed up it started working normally. Other than that it is a very good light producing bulb, but now, I have to try and find a bulb that is not effected by low temperatures! Update: After working fine for short time when the temps warmed up, now the bulb does not come on at all! I had to buy a different brand bulb which is a pain because I have to rent a bucket truck to change it out, which is costly! Don't waste your money on this one if you live in a climate that winter night time temperatures drop below 15 below zero for extended periods of time.

This light doesn't kid around about its equivalency, it really is a 400 watt incandescent, may even a little underrated. As a videographer I can really appreciate the high quality LED diodes, giving off a much more natural look than other led bulbs I've used. It is not silent, it has a small fan to keep the LEDs cool. Unfortunately that fan on my original bulb started to make a loud noise when it would first be turned on. The sound was the fan seizing/grinding but it would only last 1-3 minutes, then it would stop and you'd faintly hear the normal fan again. It's like it reset and fixed itself. Either way that was a bit annoying for my little garage, so I contacted the Dragon light and they immediately sent out a replacement! I almost felt bad, because the bulb never stopped working. I was just being picky, there WARRANTEE IS AMAZING!!

I bought 1 of these to test in my garage. It is bright but the fan is pretty loud. I'd need 4 total eventually but am worried the noise from all 4 fans will annoy me.I'm attaching a photo with my hand shading a wall equally distant from this and another equivalent bulb. The Dragon Bulb I bought is the 3000k; the other is 6500k (whiter, not a Dragon). Interpret it as you like.

I got these to swap out some old high bay lights (6 of them). They worked perfectly. Just bypassed the transformers on the lights and wired directly to the power, screwed in the bulb and done. The area is sooooo much brighter and added bonus there isn't the humming noise from the ballasts anymore. Definitely recommend these if you are not interested in swapping out the entire fixture.

Die Lampe soll 3000k haben hat sie aber nicht Schwank zwischen 4000-5000k und ersetzt auch keine 1400 Watt NDL oder MdL also nicht das was ich mir vorgestellt habe sonst ist sie eigentlich ganz OK aber zu teuer wenn man Mal was probieren muss und dann die Angaben nicht passenny nach ein paar Tagen also die Lampe ist doch sehr effektiv und hat ein gutes Vollspektrum. Gute Alternative zu S.light

Last long time compared to regular bulbs

Wir haben jetzt 4 im Einsatz, bislang alles in Ordnung. Ich höre den Lüfter nicht. In einem Friseur Salon ist aber auch immer eine gewisse Geräusch Kulisse.

It's certainly bright, and compact compared with similar bulbs but it is quite noisy due to having a fan in it. I bought it for a kitchen but it was far too noisy so put it in an porch light instead where the noise doesn't matter so much. Too early to tell about its durability.
