Good for smaller birds, not great for big birds
These perches are just ok for me. I am using them for flight training my greenwing macaw. She is small for a GW, weighs in at 1000gm, but still a rather large bird. Before I purchased, I asked in the question section how sturdy these were for take offs and landing. The seller said they’re fine. They are not fine.Problem 1: the base is just too small and light to be sturdy. They tip very easily when a large bird jumps off them to take flight. I had to add 10lb weights to the base to get them to not tip over. My bird is now more confident and less afraid, so the movement is less of an issue, but for fearful birds you will need to work through this to be able to use them.Problem 2: these are just mic stands. They are made to hold a lightweight microphone. I’m finding it difficult to tighten them enough that they don’t spin and/or sink in height from the weight of my bird.Problem 3: the wood the perch is made of is pretty soft. Supervision is needed to keep your bird from ripping them apart. Also, it’s not sanded and it’s pretty rough (no splinters though) so some birds might not like the texture of the perch.Problem 4: the bases have grooves that poop sticks in and it’s very difficult to get into the grooves to clean up.One final observation, I got the XL perches because macaws have big feet. I feel these perches were almost too big for her. Her feet don’t even go halfway around the perch when she’s on them. I could have definitely saved some money and gone with the medium or large size.My overall opinion of these is that if you’ve got a smaller bird, they are more than adequate. If you’ve got a larger species like a U2 or macaw, keep looking or be prepared to weigh down the bases to keep them stable for takeoff and landing.

Nice perches
The media could not be loaded. Great perches for out and about, base could be a little bigger and costly but still happy I got them.

Great, versatile perch
I have two of the large T perches. I use them for training my Congo African Grey and Blue Front Amazon. I had seen the Parrot Wizard using them for recall training and that is why I had purchased them. The only issues I have had is that they are a little unstable due to being so tall. My birds have learned to adjust to the instability which has actually made them more confident I believe (especially with my Blue Front Amazon, she was afraid to step on it at first from her cage, now she has no issue). Secondly, the wood is a little slick, which can cause your bird to fall at times (only when jumping or landing on it). My amazon started chewing on one of the perches which actually made it rougher and made it easier to grip. I guess I could try putting vet wrap tape on it so they could get more of a grip. So, I just have my birds recalling to me instead of the perch. That's what the end goal is anyway. They are great to have your bird perch on. You can move them anywhere in the house. The height can be adjusted.

These are very versatile
I mainly use the one perch, for my little guy to sit with me by the couch. He gets his head fluffed up, while I watch TV. We have done some flight training, and for his wings being clipped he doesn't do that bad. His main problem is holding on to the perch once he lands on it. He is starting to get better at it with practice. I ordered the medium, with is about right for a Meyer's. What I really like about these perches, they are very solid. There is no way my bird can knock these down. I feel this is a very safe product. All I can do now, is wait for his wing feathers to grow back in.

Sturdy and Solid!
These stands are a must have! I was worried they would wobble but they are very sturdy. The base is nice and heavy and my birds love the perch!. The customer service is excellent as well. I had an issue with one of my perches not fitting right on the stand and he was very kind and sent me replacement parts promptly! These perches/stands are great and easy to move around the house. I love that the wood is grooved so it makes it not so slippery for their feet. Definitely glad I purchased these!

We use them everyday for our Galah's training. Highly recommended.
My family is a big fan of Parrot Wizard's merchandise. They are all well made and exactly know what is best for the parrot. I purchased T-perches medium for our one-year-old Galah, and they are perfect - good size and not too heavy yet stable. NU perches are good for parrot's feet. Also, DVD and a clicker & target stick included. We use them every day and our Galah seems to enjoy training on them. We are definitely having fun. Highly recommended.

Great training perch!
I love these purchase. They are easy to setup and easy to store. I have been able to train my conure easily on them with no distractions. The only issue I have is the perch on both stands loosens frequently and has to be tightened regularly or my bird doesn’t feel secure. It is still worth having. The target stick, clicker, and training dvd are great bonuses.

Excellent Quality
This is one of the best products I have ever ordered on Amazon. The quality is amazing, it is heavy enough that it does not rock with a bird on it. Very sturdy and well made. My parrots love the perch on it as well. Excellent design and construction. Thank you!!!
