4 Ohm is the way to go.
This is hard hitting bass. I have been working with sound systems on my own as a hobby for over 20 years. This sub is outstanding. Easy to set up and is very worth the price.

I tried these on and wow the bass and the sound is incredible

Sounds good and a good price
Sounds good no issue. I did make sure to break it in for a couple weeks with my settings in the middle ranges. Good for the price.

Not top of the line but lots of boom for the buck
For the price it's as good as any 300$ sub I've used. Super fast delivery for the sub but the two ways took so long I went a different route.

This subwoofer kicks ass..
Bought this subwoofer just about a month ago. And wow. It just keeps getting better as it's breaking in. I never had a subwoofer like this... it hits ...it goes so low. I must buy if you're building a system. And I'm only running one 12.. can't wait to see what it sounds like when I'm running 2. 12s...

Really good bass but extremely reliable
I’ve had these for a good 6-7 months now and I push them to the max almost every day paired up with one of the newest pioneer amps and my subs almost push their max wattage and they bump the only thing I’d recommend is buying 2 and putting them in a single vented box and wiring them 4 to 1 ohm (if your amp is comparable) but overall great bass low and mid as well as very very reliable

DO NOT PUSH THE FULL 500W
Originally purchased back in March of 2024. After 3 months of light usage (Break in time I was pushing ~250w to each sub). Worked well. Nothing to write home about, but it worked. 2 days ago, I decided to push the full 500w RMS to each sub. 3 songs in and 1 subs pair of voice coils are completely fried. I dont know if I got a bad pair, as the one that blew is also the one that had some excess yellow glue around the cone.Reached out to Pioneer support, and hopefully they take care of me like they did my dad back in the early 2000'sEdit: No response from Pioneer after multiple attempts to make contact. Assuming Ill just have to eat the ~$165 ish bucks for the pair I spent on them. Dont buy them if you plan on pushing the power they say theyre rated for.
