REALLY good headphones for the money
Clear sound and comfortable around the ears. Ear pad material isn't the best, but they are still comfortable to wear for hours.

Their Philips. nothing more to be said
These Philips headphones fit my head well and are extremely comfortable to wear. They are the first open backed headphones I have purchased and they have great quality sound and the bass is not over heavy like others I've owned in the past. I am one happy customer.

Great sound, not so solid build
Great sound quality and sound stage for the money but the build quality feels a little flimsy. Be careful with these headphones.

Well worth the price
I got these because I wanted a pair of open-backed headphones to compliment my Audio Technica MSR7's.Nice open sound with wide sound stage and nice bass. Well worth the price.

Very comfortable
I have large ears - these are one of the few models which actually fit right around one's ears. Sound / value is good.

Not for me.
I had high hopes for the SHP9600 based on reviews, and my initial impressions were mostly positive. The ear cups are comfortable, and the open-back design provides a spacious soundstage, which is a big improvement over the cheap closed-back headphones I’ve used in the past. However, there were a few dealbreakers for me.First, the low clamp force meant they didn’t feel very secure, and while the ear cups were fine, the headband wasn’t comfortable—it put pressure on the top of my head after a while. Sound-wise, they seemed muted and quiet at first, but this improved quickly. The biggest issue for me was the treble, which I found piercing and fatiguing during long listening sessions. I couldn’t be bothered to EQ it out, so that was a dealbreaker.Build quality is another concern. They feel very plasticky, and I wasn’t confident in their long-term durability. In the end, I decided to return them and have now ordered the Audio-Technica ATH-M40x instead. Hopefully, they’ll suit me better.Would recommend these if you can handle the treble and want an open-back design at a budget price, but they weren’t for me.
