Works really well
I used these for re-gluing the loose paper covers onto expensive binders by sliding the 'needle' up romt he bottom and down from the top between the paper and the cardboard. Because they're so long, the needle goes way inside there with no problem. I do this from the top of the binder and the bottom in order to reach the entire area I want glued, squeezing out some glue as I withdraw it. It works great. Previously, I had been slicing open the paper along the spine, gluing it, then I had to use tape to seal it back up. This way, I need no tape at all which is far preferable.I think they're for "one use only" but I reuse mine multiple times with no problem. I just rinse it out with hot water each time. For glue, I've been using Elmer's white glue that I water down with hot water to make it almost as runny as water. That way the glue can flow through the tip. Glue that's any heavier will not work in these syringes, but watery glue works just fine. I originally used fancy very thin cryo-acetate glue which works fine but is pretty expensive and is really not necessary -- but that also does work. I'm very pleased.

Work Best for Cleaning my Fountain Pens and Converters When Changing Ink
I have a number of fountain pens that take either cartridges or converters, and I have never liked having to submerse the entire nib (and part of the barrel) in order to fill the pen with ink. Not only is it a bit messy, but I use mostly Noodler's Ink (tall skinny bottle), so it gets trickier and fussier to submerge to the right depth as you use more ink from the bottle.I purchased these syringes to make that process easier: just submerge the needle into the bottle and draw what you need, then precisely fill the converter, avoiding all of the mess. With my cheaper pens (Hongdian) filling the converter with a syringe rather than through the nib does lead to a dry nib start (I either have to dip the nib into the bottle or force a bit of ink from the converter into the nib to get things flowing). However, with my nicer pens (Pilot), I fill the converter with ink, attach to the nib, and the pen works immediately.I got the extra-long needle (4" on these syringes) in order to reach to the very bottom of my tallest bottles. However, that leads to a bit of wasted ink, since you can only expel the ink in the barrel, not from the length of the needle itself. Thus, I switched to another set of syringes (1" needle) for filling the converters and have repurposed these to flushing out the converter and nib with water when changing ink colors. The extra needle length is ideal for reaching to the very back of the converter for a good flush, particularly with a push button converter which has intervening hardware like the Pilot CON-70.5 syringes came in the set, which probably means I will never need to purchase them again. If you're only going to buy one length of syringe I'd go with a shorter 1" needle; however, the cost of these relative to the likely cost of the fountain pens you'll be servicing means extra convenience for a small extra cost when you need it.
