Initially I thought these were priced a little too high, but they worked out perfect for my needs. Relatively easy to mount and the mechanism to lock and unlock works great. They fit a variety of different tools and other things going from very wide to small with the locking mechanism. Would highly recommend, great quality!!

These things are super tough and hold tight. This was my second set for my new Quad. I've been using these since 2012 on my Honda Ranchers front rack for hauling tools around the farm and into the timber on the back forty. I can easily fit my Stihl Com-bi-Tool power head plus an attachment into the clamps and it holds the great without any additional securing. My trails are rugged and bumpy and I've never had these clamps let go of anything. Will hold two shovels and an axe at the same time. Grabs right onto a fence post "slide hammer", mine weighs 30 pounds. I've even hauled 4" round wood posts in it for fence repair chores. Best thing about this type is there are no rubber straps to break or loose. Cost a bit more but well worth the investment. Oh, they work great for the shotgun as well, holds it tight without marring the finish, releases in seconds with the push of a button.

I am going to use these, to hold my hunting equipment and mount them in my Canam Defender. Quality made, sturdy and will work perfectly. Highly recommend these Kolpin Ratcheting Rhino Grips. I ordered two sets.

Heavy duty and adjustable. One of my upright tubes leans forward, the other leans backward. The brackets can be adjusted so as they're both plumb. My tubes are 1-7/8" and the bolts were just long enough to get fully threaded on the nuts. I used some twinstick tape to hold the rubber pad in place while installing the brackets. My pole saw fits securely on the bracket, even the gas powered chainsaw pole saw seems secure on the brackets. The ratchet arms clamp down tightly and release with firm pressure.

Before buying these, I read all the bad reviews. But I liked the concept so much, I bought them anyway. While I did experience some problems expressed in reviews, they are “fixable”. The base mounted solid to my 4-wheeler rack. Just make sure you put a piece of rubber on both top and bottom of each clamp. When packaged, it looked like there were only two pieces of rubber, but when trying to mount them, I noticed the rubber was actually two pieces stuck together. The wobble was caused by the two Allen screws that hold the grip together being loose. Tightened them a little bit and the wobble was gone. The pictures of broken bases were caused because a metal plate was not used on both top and bottom( That’s why you get FOUR). A little W-D40 sprayed on the claw hinge works wonders. To open the jaw ,when they are holding something, I found if you squeeze the clamp with one hand when you push the release button, it opens easily and without issue. They work perfectly with my crossbow, which was the main reason I bought these. I also used this with my rifle, which has a heavy bull barrel, and they worked great. Went on bumpy trails at 15 mph and nothing moved. They haven’t moved since I mounted them. My 4-wheeler is trailered everywhere on trips. So the clamps get all the road grime and ten miles of dusty road to the deer lease and haven’t failed. While the coldest temperatures I experienced with these is 20 degrees, they worked fine. These are made of plastic, and realistically, I don’t expect them to stand up against running into a tree, or having a large vine snag my rifle or crossbow while riding down a trail, as I am not that careless with my firearms. Nothing out there is “bulletproof”, but these work great for my needs. I would have given them five stars if I didn’t have to tweak them.##Update##—January 2022– Just order another set. First set I ordered still works just fine. Made it through four hunting seasons and off season chores. The rubber “grippy” parts are starting to deteriorate, I think because I sprayed the ratcheting mechanism with a petroleum spray lube. I should have used a graphite lubricant. Got four good years out of them. Worth it to me. Probably would still be just fine had I used the proper lube. Going to use new ones for guns and old ones for tools(work). They are easy to swap, with just the pull of a pin. Still would highly recommend these!!!!

Used these under the flip up middle seat of can am defender. I had to build a mounting plate for them but used material I had around the house. Works great and saved $100 vs buying the one that comes with bracket. Would work great on fourwheeler racks etc. as well

Well Built!!! And they mount very strongly. Just pushing the button will open the jaws. So far I’m very impressed! Used them to give a Graco Jogging Stroller a new life as a 3-Gun Buggy.
