great way to replace original diodes
Had to replace a diode unit in my charger (1 of the 2 diodes was bad) so I bought two of these. So far they're working fine. Hopefully I won't have to buy more, but now I can simply replace only the failed one since these do not come as a unit of 2 diodes.

caused this problem
I had a bad diode on my powerwise charger. I found these, which according to the description [This item replaces Diode/Heatsink assembly part# 28548G01] just what I needed with the correct part number replacement. The item appears to be well made. I installed a pair of these diodes after removing the original assembly. I put the charger back in service. To my great concern, the charger plug wire as well as the power cord became extremely hot. I bench tested the diodes and they were both good. To rule out the wall outlet, I tried it on other outlets and also plugged in other chargers which operated perfectly. The "repaired" charger became so hot that I did not believe that I could safely use it. I researched amazon and found a replacement diode/heatsink assembly that matches the original style. I installed it and the charger is operating perfectly and is not overheating or even getting hot at all. I can only conclude that the heatsink properties of these diodes are ineffective.
