Exo Terra Heat Mat, 16 W

I've kept corn snakes for the past 20 years and royal pythons for 10 years, and I always use the Exo Terra heat mats. They always work perfectly and I never had to replace them. The adhesive side is extremely strong. The are very thin too, which is why I think is one of the reasons they stick so well to the bottom of the glass tank.I bought the Zoo Med heat mat once, which is a lot thicker, and after only 2 or 3 months, it fell off the bottom of the tank! It was too thick to be held in place with the adhesive. Even the employee at the Pet store said that. He said to use duct tape. But I shouldn't have to use duct tape on a product that should have enough adhesiveness to hold it in place!I'm sticking with the Exo Terra Heat Mats, always.

I used this for a tub enclosure for a young ball python. I loved that it came with little legs to put on the bottom of the tub, and I had no issues with it connecting to the thermostat and keeping the temperature regulated.

Such a nice looking and very adhesive heat pad for our gecko's terrarium but, unfortunately, it was lukewarm compared to a 4W pad we just had, by a different brand, that was almost hot to the touch. I could barely hold my hand over the inside of the glass where the pad was compared with this new 8W pad. Disappointing. Returning.

It worked well when I bought it last winter, but after the summer months (when I wasn't using it), it didn't turn on anymore.
