Darius is wonderful
This book is so sweet. The fragile and heartfelt desire for love and understanding is universally needed. What a great book.

Emotionally wrenching series
This series is a little less cozy than the other ones I’ve read by her, and a little more wrenching. I’m totally invested in the characters, though, so I have to keep reading! I read the True Gentlemen series before this one, so I kind of got spoilers for how things would turn out (this series comes first).

Wonderful!
What a entertaining read! This author never disappoints! Plots are so unique! The characters' personalities are so realistic that you feel you know them, good or bad! But, the author develops the main characters so well that you care what happens to them! Therefore, you don't want to stop reading!

Intense
Difficult issues. Some tawdry circumstances. But Grace is amazingly able to weave a charming narrative. Loved both participants and even the elderly husband that encouraged their combination.

Lovely
I have to admit that I have not quite finished the book. I’m hung up on the mustache twirling step-father. I really despise those type of characters and typically my reading grinds to a halt as I try to work my way through scenes involving them. Other than that, I really loved what I have read so far. Darius especially is an amazingly complex characterUpdate: I was able to finish the book. I was so relieved it wasn’t as bad as I feared. I upgraded to 5 stars.

It's a pity there aren't more stars to give to this incredibly wonderful love story.
Ms Burrowes has the ability to create characters whose attitudes and outlooks, their faults and strengths and capacity to love deeply enthrall us and stay with us.

Darius: A fun and addictive story
It was hard for me to come to the end of this delightful and sometimes complex story of Darius and Vivvie.

The description of the story was interesting. Unfortunately the characters were dull. I needed more plot and less descriptive sex. I want spice in my HRs but this was just too much. I read HRs for the romance. I’ve read 100s of HRs and I have concluded this writer isn’t for me. The few books I’ve read from her didn’t have the types of stories I’m captivated by.
