The author served as operations officer with the 12th TFW, Phut Cat, RSVN, in 1970-71. For non-flying enlisted personnel like myself, the book presents how the Hungry Tigers flew the F-4D in the air war from the pilot's seat: daily operations and routines, mission preparation, munitons and armament, mission types, combat maneuvers and techniques required during attacks, tactics and rules of engagement--its all here. The author broadend my perspective on all aspects of flying the Phantom in combat from Vietnam. The book is an excellent reference source for non-flying personnel like myself who are attempting to compile the 12th TFW combat history.
