Liked the smell and lather

April 22 update: I liked this shampoo at first, but at the end of the bar, it broke into 10 small pieces, and it's very difficult to use the soap to the end. With what this cost per ounce, you are literally throwing money down the drain.Original: I have fine, thin hair, so I just rub this bar a couple of times, and I have more than enough suds to wash my hair. I like the scent, which is not strong, I don't feel like my hair smells of it after rinsing. I will see how long it lasts as it was much smaller than the other Eth*** bar that I had before this one. I do have a a covered soap dish in which I keep it.

I liked this bar. I'm trying to make the switch from bottles to bar shampoo and this was my first bar. It foams up nicely and has a very pleasant scent and rinses away cleanly leaving hair feeling light and airy (like that just cut feeling after visiting the salon). I used it about every other day, some times every two days, because I could and my hair didn't get greasy in between- the bar lasted about a month. Things I noticed switching to the bar: I wish this brand came with conditioning bar, with long hair I found myself using a detangle spray after washes and eventually bought a conditioning bar from another brand which works beautifully. Longer hair means using more soap so I run through the bar more quickly. A months use at this price will add up quickly considering I can buy a bottle of shampoo/cond for same price which will last several months. That's a personal problem, no issues with the soap.

I got this as my 3rd bar to try. & honestly it's very lack luster. It worked pretty well on my hair for the first month. But it wore down quickly. It also made my ends break because my hair is a super choppy layered look so the top layers get shampooed ends. I also noticed a much frizzier hair than with other bars. So ultimately I moved on..I purchased it for the price because it was a great price. But other than that, it just isn't it for me. Probably great for other people.

This shampoo bar smells great. I live that it is a well known brand and is also affordable. It doesn't leave a build-up in my hair and cleans it very well. I wish they made a conditioner bad.

What I like about this is when I put it on my hair it felt like it came out of the shampoo bottle. But this solution doesn’t last me longer than a liquid bottle because I can’t control the bar. I leave it in the shower and it can just melt that way from being where other family members splash water leaving it alone sitting. If your serious about making this bar last… when your done with it put it in a bag in a drawer to save it. Don’t let it sit in the shower to get moist by others not using it when it’s in the bar. Still worth trying.

I am very surprised about how musky and masculine the fragrance is, at least for me. I'm a big fan of Garnier Fructis products, but that's not what this smells like. I'm not even sure if I'll be able to use it at all. The only positive is that it makes a nice lather if used in a shampoo bar bag.
