at first, when you apply the grip on a ball it feels very sticky. but you have to use it every pitch because it drys out very quick.

Like the clear tackiness. Just enough for gripping and not having to worry about staining everything you touch. Like how it kept my hands dry from humidity. Just a couple sprays does the job.

I first purchased some Spin iT grip spray after joining an adult (45+) baseball league in Colorado which requires the use of wood bats. But I never used it until I traveled to South Carolina for an extended visit to my immediate family. Unable to leave a parent’s house for an extended period of time, and wanting to stay in form and to stay in shape, I bought a batting net, tee, and bucket of balls. But I could not have a good practice because I couldn’t hold on to the wood bat I had. The heat and the humidity turned the bat into the baseball equivalent of a banana peel. (See the picture of a ball popped off a teen straight up into a palmetto tree.) I bought some pine tar, which I’d never used before because, honestly, I find it a bit pretentious—at least in an 45+ league. But pine tar didn’t work; in fact, it made it worse. So I decided to buy another bottle of Spin iT, which I have back in CO but never used because, in Colorado, there IS no humidity. And I’m glad I did. In the last week, I’ve had a few great hitting sessions. Now, Spin iT doesn’t get the sole credit for this. I also bought batting gloves and grip tape. But when I use Spin iT, I really do feel more comfortable and safer really attacking a ball on a tree.And that was important today, because today, as I was practicing, my ailing parent somehow made their way to the back yard to see what their son what doing. (That was not a trip they should have made.) I got them a chair and sat them down in the shade to my left. I bat right. But thanks to Spin iT, I felt confident I wouldn’t sling the bat and kill a parent. I say that in complete seriousness.I have one suggestion for Spin iT. I’d love to see either (1) a larger bottle, with maybe 12 oz, or (2) a package of 2-6 regular bottles. I think I went through about half a bottle today. In Colorado, a regular bottle might last me a season. In South Carolina, I suspect it will last a couple of weeks. Of course, not everyone takes batting practice with an ailing parent sitting in a chair ten feet away. 😂FYI, my father took those last two pics of me hitting.
