When I first put the mat down on shower floor and stepped on it I thought this isn’t going to work. It felt slippery and wasn’t adhering to floor. Then after running warm water in it for a few minutes it did stick and wasn’t slippery at all. Comfortable to stand on

WE had a new shower installed where we previously had ist a tub and showerhead. As members of our family got older we were concerned about them slipping and falling in the tub. The shower has handles on the wall and a swing down chair seat now. But the bubbled shower floor was slippery after shampooing and rinsing. It was probably the creams from the shampoo and rinse, but we purchased the Gorilla shower mat - PERFECT SOLUTION. No slipping or worrying.

I like that this square is not slippery. It is comfortable on my feet. I do have to remove it to squeegee the water from the floor into the drain and I am unable to stick it to the wall as others have mentioned to dry. I am not strong enough to get the small suction cups to work on the wall. I have to take it outside to hang and dry.

I have had this shower mat for almost a year and have been very pleased with it. It has not molded and sticks to the bottom of my shower well. I like the grey color as the water in my area can stain some things. I pick the mat up after each shower and stick the top 6" or so of it to the side wall of my shower for it to drain and dry. This allows the bottom of the shower to dry between uses as well as the mat to dry out. I have not had any mold issues doing this over the past year. The shower is in a separate room off my main bathroom so there is not much air flow. Sticking the mat to the wall is a great space saver and leaves the shower rod free for washcloths. It is easy to just pull the mat off and put in bottom of shower when I need to use it again. I will definitely buy this brand again when I need a new one.

Exactly what I was looking for…feels cushiony on your feet, grips tub very well…my husband and I are getting up in years and a fall with injury is becoming a concern…for us, this is perfect…also easy to maintain….like I said, exactly what I was looking for!

This shower mat is perfect for center drain showers. Will work in any shower but when you have a center drain it is hard to find a good floor mat! Love this one!!

When they tell you that it won’t work on a rippled surface, they mean it. I bought mine because I was slipping, trying to get out of the shower, and hurting my ankle. It didn’t stick to the bottom of the shower, because it’s rippled, but I was able to keep it because it adhered to the side of my shower. The downfall of the mat is that it gets very slippery when you use hair conditioner. The drainage is great and helps to catch the hair before it goes down the drain. It’s made of a good quality material. I don’t know what the solution to the slipperiness is, though.

I ordered color clear that turned yellow. I would have thought Gorilla products would not change colors.I am ordering a black this time and home it does not change color.The. size is perfect for where I need this mat.
