Electric Razor for Men, SweetLF 100% Waterproof Electric Shaver, Type C Rechargeable, Wet & Dry Rotary Shavers for Men with Pop up Trimmer, Corded and Cordless, Navy Blue

I bought this cordless, rechargeable electric shaver as a birthday present for a good friend in his 90s who had never used an electric shaver before, therefore it had to be simple to use and maintain. I read the suggestions on how to get a smooth shave as well as comparing several other electric shavers for sale on amazon.com and as a result of my research, decided to try the SweetLF 3D Rechargeable Waterproof Wet & Dry Electric Shaver. The price was very reasonable and the reviews were positive, so I thought this shaver would be perfect for my friend. Someone suggested in a review to use a preshave to insure a close shave, so I also included a preshave product as well as after shave product in the birthday package. Inside the box was a fully charged shaver with a protective cover over the shaving heads, a small brush; a USB cable to connect to your computer to recharge it; and clear instructions for use, recharging and cleaning.Following directions on the electric preshave product, he put some over his beard and waited 15 minutes before beginning to shave. The features I really like with this shaver: 1) you can tell how much battery life the shaver has; 2) to clean, you open the shaver top and rinse inside the shaver under running water, shake the excess water out of the shaver and then let it air dry; 3) it is very simple to use and well made; and how easy and fast it is to recharge. He was delighted with the shave and his sensitive skin was not irritated; I recommend this electric shaver highly for ease of use and effectiveness and consider it a good value for the money. NOTE: He doesn't have a heavy beard and I don't have any idea how this shaver handles heavy beards or trimming facial hair.

Updated 21 Nov 2018: 1 year later and the replacement shaver continues to work flawlessly, with every day use. No battery problems and I have not had to replace the shaver blades yet. I would add another star, if I could!I have been using this razor for 6 months, and I am very pleased with both the razor and the customer service.The razor does as good a job as the expensive higher-end Norelco razors and a much better job than the lower-end Norelco razors (which still cost more than the SweetLF razor), which I have previously owned and used for 30 years. I prefer to use a "dry" razor and the SweetLF works for this purpose - no pulling of hairs nor abrading of skin (unlike the lower-end Norelco razors). As with the Norelco razors, it does take a few days for the SweetLF razor to adjust to your face, but, after that adjustment period, it provides a smooth, close shave.The 5 level battery LEDs make it easy to know when the razor's battery is getting low (a feature sadly lacking from the Norelco razors I've owned); the micro USB recharging is both more convenient and much faster than Norelco's low-current product-specific AC chargers. The SweetLF razor battery charge seems to last approximately the same as previously owned Norelco razors. The SweetLF razor feels lighter than the Norelco razor, but the build is solid and feels right in the hand.I did encounter a strange problem with the razor, after 4 months (the power switch was behaving erratically) , but SweetLF customer support sent me a new replacement razor, after I mailed the original razor to their US support address. I was pleasantly surprised by the quick response to my initial email to report the problem - I received a response within 24 hours. This response time turned out to be the rule, not the exception. I was kept informed about the status of my return, every step of the way, and each follow-up email I sent received a response within 24 hours. There were no arguments, and no excuses made - just a sincere apology for any inconvenience to me.Note: I wish I could give an extra star for the cardboard box, in which the SweetLF razor was packaged. Unlike typically flimsy cardboard product boxes or disposable plastic bubble packaging, this box can actually be reused for storage - of the razor, or other things.

Works best for me, medium coarse beard, using post shower with thin layer of shaving cream. It is a bit aggressive when I dry shave, sticks a bit even with Electric shave, but still gives as close a shave as any electric razor. I haven't found a razor that conquers the neck perfectly, this is one is pretty close.Is a Panasonic Arc5 foils, a Norelco 7000, or similar smother run a cross your skin when dry shaving? Yes. Do they shave as close, they don't actually. I found this SweetLF Razor, one of four I tested to see what works for me, and it's...well sweet, for it's cost, it's great. Again, the wet shave but works for me. I am keeping is, and well the Norelco 7000 too.Btw, the higher version of electric shavers have some neat features, but we are shaving here, I don't need an app for that. I can't justify their cost.I am a daily shaver and only go unshaved for the weekend. This is great. It's quiet, easy to clean, smooth for me with wet shave, battery is fine, shave is close, and it's cost effective.Generally, I find safety razor is the closest shave but requires different shave cream, lots of blades over time, and after shave. Cartridge razors over all best for me, fast, nic free, razors aren't cheap. Electric Razors take some getting used to, still take a bit of time, need pre and post shave lotions, and cost a lot upfront typically (SweetLF an exception), and need razor replacements right around when they don't make the replacements you need.In the end, you have a lot of choices. This inexpensive razor is perfect. Does a great job, can be added to you arsenal of shaving gear, and won't break the bank. My new travel buddy. Give it a try.

Great little electric razor!! It holds a charge for quite awhile. And it fits in the palm of my hand perfectly. Lightweight and easy to use. Gives a great close shave every time. Highly recommend!

Worked well for a month then became tedious to clean and charge never held that well.
