Self-Tanning Butter

I have very fair skin and don't usually tan but really wanted to look a little sun-kissed for an upcoming wedding. I tried this lotion once (shaved and exfoliated the night before, left it on overnight the next night) and am really impressed. I used it on my face with a foundation brush after applying my regular moisturizer too. I've only ever used Jergen's natural glow so I did make some mistakes around my wrists, knees, and ankles where the pigment got a bit dark. I would probably get a mitt in the future but for a one-time thing, it worked great. It doesn't leave a dark color on sheets or clothing and it doesn't have a bad smell but it is scented. It's actually kind of hard to tell where you applied it since it soaks in so well.

Love Isle of Paradise self tanning lotion. No streaks, drys quickly and great color. Easy to use, you have to remember to wash your hands really well after use. This is the lotion but also comes in liquid to mix with your own lotions. Try it you’ll like it.

Two small tubes that would probably last the summer, but does not do the job. The "tan" is never dark enough; you must apply it daily or every other day to maintain a light tan. That, plus the smell, is not enough for me to purchase again.

Good quality and easy to use but I dont like the smell

I used the isle of paradise drops for years. I love them but I feel like I’m constantly burning through the bottles, like one bottle a month. One of my clients told me to try the butter. I am obsessed with it. It leaves a little glimmer glow to your skin. It doesn’t smell during or after processing on your skin. It gives a nice buildable color. I use it very frequently and only once did I feel a little orange but it was after I used it for like 4 days in a row. My advice would be to use regular lotion on your hands feet ankles knees and even elbows so that it doesn’t grab too much and you’ll have a great tan!

Easy to apply. Dries quickly. Looks pretty natural, not orange! Not a fan of the smell. Fortunately, only lasts for about a day. Plan accordingly!

I was recommended this product for sensitive noses, however, I still feel like this tanning lotion still heavily smells of that well known, yucky "self tan" smell. I had a headache at the end of the day due to the smell, and it also transfered onto my clothes. I would not repurchase.

I lost all my pigments about 30 years ago. This is the best self tanner I've ever tried. It doesn't stink (very...very faint smell) nor rub off. It does last about 1 or 2 times in the hot tub. AND it doesn't make the hot tub foam. Just don't rub when you get out...blot yourself dry. I haven't tried a pool or ocean yet...but I'm sure if it survived the hot tub it will be fine there as well. This will be my go to tanner from here on out and it isn't going to break the bank. :)
