Cheery chair - and a bed when I visit mom
Purchased this for mom’s new place in assisted living (it’s so much like sending a kid to college!). My brother and I got it assembled in about an hour - did not come with washers but we got some from home and put it together. Was a little nervous on a few screws that the holes weren’t aligned but with a little patience (and only one cursed word) we got it together. It is a bit stiff for sleeping but I picked up a self inflating camping roll which fits perfectly and makes it more comfortable. Once assembled it’s easy to move from chair to bed. Will be crafting a pillow cover to match her quilt and maybe a mat to go on the seat…love it and a great value.

No cushion
There is barely any cushion. It’s fine for my daughter because she is smaller and weighs less but for a normal size adult it is not comfortable.

Update about fixing it up to Exactly as expected. Exactly what I wanted. A few cautions
Update II: So, it looks like a chair and people have been sitting in it occasionally. Just now, I've been needing to put my feet up, so thought to try the yellow chair. The hard as a board seat has softened sufficiently to be comfortable. It's not soft, but a padded firm seat. The contrasting very softness of the foot part is really good. Sometimes a chaise longue is hard on the knees and feet, but the squishiness of the foot rest with the firmness of the seat, makes it comfortable.Additionally, one likes to lean back with one's feet up, which the seatback does, but what about one's head? They have included the solution! The full sized pillow against the backrest helps with the seat being so deep, but then one can put the little square pillow on top of it for a head rest! It stays. Even better, I have a small lumbar pillow that gives some neck support. It stays in place when I get up!So, the yellow chair has become an actual chair, not just a cot. Excellent!UPDATE: The pros are still pros. I wanted a sleepable cot (bed) that could be stored and used in the living room (front room), and be strong--not tippy--and easy to rise from. And look good. This is all those things. Details below. The big problem was that every section is a different texture: footrest soft, seat medium-hard, backrest very hard. I don't care if it's a comfortable chair to sit it. It's a bit too wide and deep for that. The loose pillows help. It's not uncomfortable to sit in though the seat is pretty hard. The issue is its primary purpose, getting a good night's sleep. Besides the hardness and different textures, there's a hard "bar" where the hinge between the seat and backrest is, right in the middle of your upper back when lying down.My egg crate foam topper didn't do the trick at all, even doubled. So I got the Kingfun Memory Foam Camping Mattress Sleeping Pad Single 75" X 30" X 3" inch (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B56SDK26?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details). It fits perfectly! It's also a great alternative to the old air mattresses for camping. The bottom is texture dotted and the top is velour, both, I'm sure to keep you from sliding around. It fits perfectly and does most of the job. It doesn't completely do it for the bar. Not painful anymore, but bothersome still. So, I thought about the boards they put in sofa sleepers to deal with the support bar., and found this: Imperius Bunkie Board Twin- (60x30", Folded 30"L x 15"W x 0.25" thick). (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CQVLC9XK?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1) I chose the 30" wide one because the spaces between the arms and seat kind of bothered me. It will eventually abrade the cloth a little, so I'd recommend one of the 28" wide ones if they're going to be used regularly. This is just four pieces of particle board connected with webbing straps so it can fold up. You could make such a thing, or cut one to fit as a single board, depending on your storage, but I thought the price was well worth the labor, even though it's a simple thing. It's very nicely assembled. I like the margins that make the bunkie board a foot smaller than the cot. Having the soft end under my heels is especially comfortable without making a big difference where the board end is.It does its job. The camping pad is comfy atop the bunkie board. Both easy to store. The chair cot is much more comfortable with them, and still a nice height and easy to get in and out of. Even with these additions, it cost less than what they have at fancy furniture stores, which are probably no more comfortable, and definitely not as cute.********************************First impression::I finally got some help to open and assemble the chair. I would have preferred one already assembled, but this was best on features and it wasn't a sad thing to not have to pay for the assembly, though I needed someone with muscles to help me with all the screws. The assembly was designed very well. The instructions were good except for on the last pieces, where they were accurate, but it took a lot of study to figure out exactly what to do. Everything fit right, and it had all its pieces. The features I wanted are there: It has feet, nice wood ones with glides already on the bottoms, and the screws mounted in them, which makes attaching them really easy. The seat is the right height. The backrest has several positions like a sunbed, and like a sunbed, you bring it all the way forward to reset. the folded out "bed" is cot sized, which makes getting sheets easy. It's plenty long enough for average height adult, and a comfortable width to really sleep.I was hesitant to buy the yellow, but I thought it was more bright marigold, and it's more like corn. I'm glad I chose it. it's happy and goes (contrasts) with the room. The fabric is a nice cloth. It's not fine fabric. It wouldn't be for the price. But it's nice. There are a few places where it's a little loose, not in construction, but in the filling. I'm hoping the filling will plump up a bit as it gets more air. As it is, it's really okay. Just not tip top. The biggest issue is that the seat and backrest are *really* hard and there's a bar at the hinge. I have an egg crate foam topper that will fit it, and I hope that's sufficient to make it okay for sleeping. If not, I'll get a thicker foam pad. As a chair, it could also use a cushion, but I might just fold up a throw blanket on it.The need is to have a "bed" available downstairs, on a rarely needed basis. This is easy enough to get in and out of, even with wiggling past the arms, and the hardness of the seat makes it easy to rise from. The pillows are nice, because the chair is deep and they give extra support to the backrest, plus can be used as sleeping pillows. As seldom used cots goes, this chair is a lot easier to store and set up, and far better to look at.

DO NOT BUY The Chair!!!
DO NOT BUY The Chair!!!*UPDATE: After getting the run around for weeks from the seller/live chat w/Amazon. The seller finally agreed to fully refund me an Amazon gift card, not my CC, IF I closed the a-z claim first with Amazon. They also offered me compensation to change my review to a nicer one. Shady practices, shady customer service, horrible product!!! Apparently, per their messages they have more than one store on Amazon. Be wary of similar products being sold here. The fabric is not 100% Upholstery, the bulk of the fabric is cheap t-shirt type of material, they tried to tell me it was linen when I complained in my request for refund. It is super thin. I purchased the yellow chair, the boxes arrived with hodge podge taping, as if it was already opened, repackaged and re-taped. The fabric was stained, the metal frame was rusted, there were small holes in the fabric near the screw holes, parts were missing, fabric was coming off in areas. The seller wants to charge for return shipping AND to inspect the item when they receive it, then to repackage it back up, they want to CHARGE ME. They sold me a defective item. They take no responsibility for their furniture. Do not buy from this seller nor this item. I could have gone to Home Goods and found something 10x's better than this item. It's CHEAPLY made.

Bought 2!
One chit was easy to put together and one was a little tougher. We replaced our sofa with these as my daughter brings home friends from college and now they will have a place to sleep. We bought from toppers for these for when friends come as they are a little firm. The fabric is great I feel I have a decent product for the price.

You need a topper for the sleeper chair to be comfortable.
I liked the color of the chair (yellow). It is not comfortable to sleep on or sit in. I had to add a 3-inch topper to the sleeper for comfort.

Beautiful chair, but could be better
This is a beautiful chair, perfect for small spaces however, it is not the most comfortable chair. It’s OK to watch TV in for a few hours or something like that, but definitely not sleep worthy.

Well made and functional
Nice and seems well made. It was pretty easy to put together I remembered not to tighten all the screws until they were all placed. To avoid the misalignment that can be caused by tightened surrounding screws.
