Whistling Tea Kettle, Surgical Stainless Steel Teapot Design for Stovetop; Large 3.2 Quart

I just got mine and I am very pleased. I can't believe it holds so much water because it really doesn't seem that big. You have to hold my old one side by side to finally see where the extra volume comes from. Very subtle., Thanks folks and Amazon for the heads up about the sticky tabs. I used Goof Off with a cotton rag and no problem. You do have to keep going to a clean spot on your rag for several times until you get all the residue but in the end it was perfect.I checked out the screws attaching the handle (some didn't like them) and they are nicely counter sunk and just look nice and sturdy to me. I don't know how many teapots I have owned that died because the spot welds on the handle broke. Nothing you can do about that. This handle looks immortal, thankfully.I soon noticed that there is not a way to hold the cap on the spout open. That means if you put it back on low heat to keep it warm it will continue to whistle but maybe I can figure out a better way to handle that. Not sending it back.My whistle got pretty quickly overpowered as the pressure built up in the pot. Could be louder and tuned for more pressure,But overall a very nice product. Solid feel, well made, and a very pleasing shape and finish.

I had to come back to this comment I made a few months ago and add an update. I was completely shocked and delighted that the Vanika Company sent me a NEW and improved tea kettle! I didn’t even ask for a replacement, I’m mean I was wowed! They’ve made some construction adjustment to the water release level which has resulted in a more secure and durable mechanism for the spout lever. Honestly, I adored my first Vanika tea kettle so much, I continued to use the broken one because I could not find one that equaled the style, finish, and soft whistle sound. I’m so pleased with the new and improved version. Vanika is a Company that cares about is customers and product.My Original comment:This item lasted 5 month and the water release lever broke. I have to use a spoon to pop open the spout in order for the water to get out. I'm disappointed with this item. Not best quality.

I had previously posted a review of this product in which I stated that the tea kettle itself worked well but that we had experienced some corrosion on the lid. Vanika reached out to me, expressing concern for my dissatisfaction and sending me a new kettle, saying that they had made some design improvements to their new model to address the corrosion issues. They asked me to try out the new kettle and provide them with feedback which I will certainly do. I couldn't be more impressed with this company and with their prompt, gracious, and generous response to my review. I do think that this kettle is handsome and a good buy at the price and, if they have solved the corrosion issues, then I will definitely give it five stars. Kudos and thanks to Vanika for caring so much about the quality of their product and the satisfaction of their customers!

I’m sooooo happy with this kettle! It heats the water well and looks so nice on my new gas range. The handle stays cool but there’s a rubber cover on the handle that helps that. I’m tickled with it!!!

Our last few kettles were always the least expensive option we could find at Target. They would work for a year or two before wearing out beyond repair, but they were never very sturdy nor did they have a very good whistle, the handles would get way too hot, etc.This time, I was determined to find a good, sturdy kettle with a strong whistle. This kettle is fantastic!!! The construction overall is quite sturdy. It holds enough water to fill two French presses in the morning, which is good because my partner and I don't drink the same thing in the morning. The handle stays cool to the touch so I don't have to use a towel or potholder to pick-up and pour. The whistle is LOUD. That's not a complaint. :) I can put the kettle on, go anywhere else in our house, and very clearly hear it when its ready.We've had this kettle for about a month and have zero complaints or critiques. Its a very nice kettle for a fair price.

The kettle looks great and exactly as pictured. Nice little whistle, everything was perfect...if you like rust in your water. I've barely had this kettle 6 months and there is rust on the inside (some at the base and some at a seam on the inside). I have never left water in the kettle.

A Steaming Good Time. Tea Kettle works good and looks very nice sitting on the stove. The finish is mirror like and has a high-end feel. So far the finish has held up well. The Stainless Steel construction is reassuring. Kettle heats quickly. The Whistle work loud and is high pitched. Loud enough for the immediate area but not across the house. The lid fits snugly and forms a tight seal on the kettle. The opening is larger enough to get a sponge in the kettle for cleaning if needed. The larger opening makes it fairly easy to fill. The Whistle splatters a little when whistling. (Around the flip up part of the whistle and the neck of the kettle.) The rubber handle keeps cool, but should be extended up closer to the lever. The little exposed area between the lever and the insulator get a bit toasty and can be a surprise - Not the good kind. The kettle is used a couple times a day on a gas stove and it feels like it will last and prove to be a good value.

I have looked for a long time for a "good kettle." Had to hold alot of water, but be light & easy on the wrist & hand to use. Wanted a fairly loud but pleasant whistle. Especially wanted a good pour...with no dangerous or sloppy sputtering & spills. And if it actually looked nice? Well that would be a bonus. This kettle met all my requirements & I am VERY pleased with it. Many happy & healthy cups of tea lie ahead. :)

Love this kettle!!! All kettles I've bought recently have had to be returned for one reason or another, I'd almost lost hope of replacing my old kettle, but no faults with one... this is a keeper!! Ideal for anyone who has problems remembering to flip the spout lid down. This has a strong hinge on the spout lid which flips shut automatically when you let go of the lever, so no chance of boiling it dry without hearing a very loud whistle! Will be buying one for my brother who has also had no success with kettles either. Seems this is the only kettle worth buying!
