The LOCK-DOWN Hitch Tightener Heavy Duty No-Wobble Stabilizer Cargo Carrier Anti Rattle Tow Clamp

I've got a curt class 3 hitch on my 2016 pilot. I bought a cargo carrier and there was way to much play even with a threaded hitch pin. This thing tightened that right up. I went from deeming my cargo carrier unsafe to use, to trusting it on a road trip with a few turns off a wrench. Couldn't find one this large locally. I'm buying another so I have a spare in each vehicle.

The cargo rack I used was slightly smaller than the receiver. This caused the rack to wobble, and rattle, when driving over rougher roads. This lock-down hitch helped to alleviate movement, completely eliminated the "pitch" and rattle when going over bumps. While it completely eliminated the up and down pitch, there was still a little rocking of the carrier which,since it only has one point of attachment: but the movement is minimal.

Solid. Works well. Inexpensive. I would give it 5 stars but there were no instructions. It seems dead simple, but you have to put the shackle in the right place and put the plate in the correct orientation and I have no idea the order of washer, lock washer, and nut. A small pieced or paper showing a diagram of install location and orientation would make this product better.

We have a wheelchair lift on the back of our van. It rattled all the time with the slightest bit of road debris, joints, etc. My brother told me about these. Said they would solve the problem. I thought he was pranking me but sure enough, they do exist! Ordered this one, installed it in about 10min (the hardest part of the install being that I kept dropping the lock-washers) and rattle solved. Would recommend this to anyone!

Works great. No more rattling. I am using it on a 2" hitch. With the ball mount I use most, it required a bit of grinding off excess material on the ball mount to allow the u bolt to slide into place. This wouldn't be an issue if there were more of a gap between my receiver tube and the drop part of my mount. I don't see where any modifications would need to be made if you are using it for a bike rack, cargo carrier or something along those line. Also, the u bolt isn't stainless as advertised. .

It’s amazing how much this helped! When towing my 6x12 enclosed trailer with an 8” drop hitch when I hit and kind of bump it sounded as tho my hitch would snap off, but after installing this it tows nice and quite and provides a lot more piece of mind now that all the clanking and banging noise from the hitch is gone! A+++

I lost the one I've had for years. That's why I bought this one. It works great to take the slop out of my receiver hitch. It's simple to install and it'll last for years. I do spray a little silicone spray on it every once in a while to deter rust. It's solid, durable, easy and privced right. Definitely worth the price and then some

When I tow the camper I keep a some old tools in the back. An old socket and the drill make quick work of the lock-down hitch attachment. I know alot of people say just turn up the radio but for the extra minute and the price it really does keep the ride alot smoother and quiter in my opinion.
