LakenThermo Classic Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle Wide Mouth

For years I'd been using a Klean Kanteen. It traveled the world with me and was one of my dearest possessions. During one of my many moves it somehow went missing and I decided to give a Nalgene bottle a try. I was really disappointed with Nalgene, because every time I filled it with water, the water would have a plastic taste. When I decided to ditch the Nalgene and go back to a Klean Kanteen I discovered....IT IS MADE IN CHINA! My personal stance is that I do not trust anything that comes into contact will my body (cutlery, plates, cups, etc...) to come from China. There is just such a lack of regulation and so much corruption that there is never any way to know how something has been made or what it really contains. Thus began my epic quest to find something not made in China. After so much research that I couldn't see straight, I finally stumbled upon this brand which is MADE IN SPAIN (hallelujah!)I ordered one for myself and immediately fell in love with it, as did my wife, so we ordered a second. It is double wall insulated, so when I fill it with ice cold drinks there is no sweating on the outside, and when I fill it with hot tea, it stays hot for HOURS. No joke.There is absolutely no taste imparted in whatever fluid is inside. When you are screwing the lid on, you do have to take a moment to make sure you are doing it right - this is probably due to the fact that the threading is somewhat 'soft' or 'rounded'. I actually love this because it makes it feel really comfortable to drink from. Other bottles I've used had much 'sharper' threading and never felt great to drink from. I greatly prefer this design. Everything about this bottle feels so well made and high quality. I can't believe I was futzing around that that darn Nalgene bottle when I could have been using this.Lastly, the color my wife ordered was 'yellow' but it's really more of a vibrant light orange (check out the pic below). I'm not usually a fan of bright colors (my bottle is black) but even I was impressed with how great this looks.It also fits perfectly in my bicycle cage, and I've already taken it on a bike ride. It also fits perfectly in the car cup holder, though since I drive a stick shift, it is in my way a bit, but I'm able to maneuver around it. I bought the 25oz size; Nice thermos; Love the wide mouth which makes it easy to fill and/or add ice; Like the wide molded carry loop on top of the lid; No odor nor plastic taste from lid; Lid is mildly annoying to screw on straight; Keeps water cold for at least 24 hours but not as cold as other bottles of this type which keep beverages cold and ice frozen for roughly 50% longer.

If you're like me... you wanted an insulated water bottle that could also be thrown in the dishwasher in case you're feeling lazy (or want a really deep clean). This "plain/silver" water bottle is the solution! There is no powder coating so you don't have to worry about having to hand wash it to avoid destroying the coating. This only applies to the plain/silver variety at the time of my purchase.The insulation works well for cold water --- it has kept things frigid for several hours for me and would probably last beyond that if I hadn't drank it all. The lid is easy to secure and has no leaks (I do handwash the lid in hopes it makes the seal last longer). I've thrown the bottle portion in the dishwasher a few times and there have been no issues. No discoloring or anything either. Pretty sure this plain version is packaged the same as the powder coated colored ones, so it says not to use the dishwasher. I figured they were just too lazy to make different packaging for only one option. It has a fairly polished finish.Bonus, they (Laken) offer a 10oz stainless steel mug and my 17oz water bottle fits in it very well. So you can keep them together if you're going for a hike or for a nice little camping addition. I'm not sure how much of this is made in Spain, but that's also a huge benefit for me to support a Spanish company as opposed to all the Chinese knock-offs on Amazon.

Very nicely weighted and a much more manageable diameter and size than an equivalent Hydroflask. Does a great job keeping liquids cold without condensation on the outside.But if you drop it, even a short distance, be prepared for dents. My most recent dent is right on the bottom edge (accidentally dropped from less than 2 feet but it was full at the time), so now the bottle doesn't sit flat. Also, because NO other cap will fit it properly, you are stuck with a wide mouth opening that you can't make smaller with a HumanGear CapCap or something similar because no other company's cap will securely fit the threads. Likewise, the inserts for the Nalgene 32oz wide mouths don't fit, so if you plan to drink from this, don't be in a moving vehicle or walking because you'll soak your shirt.This is my second Laken bottle (other one is non-insulated), and they LOOK like great products and out of the box, feel like high quality construction. Unfortunately, through normal use and a couple of accidental drops, they have proven to not be able to take much wear and tear, and the wide mouth makes it difficult to drink from on the go. I wish I could have given it it a higher rating, but because of the reasons above, I can't.

Tengo unos cuantos productos LAKEN y nunca el más mínimo problema.Dura y resistente, pero aconsejo comprarle una funda.No noto olores ni mal gusto.Hace 1 año que la tengo y está como nueva.La utilizo tanto para productos calientes (infusiones sobretodo) como para frío (agua y refrescos). Estoy muy satisfecho tanto en invierno como en verano ya que mantiene muy bien la temperatura.Seguro que pagas un poco más pero creo que vale la pena

He solicitado dos veces la botella térmica naranja de acero inoxidable, según la descripción y lo que recibo es una botella de aluminio azul. El color es lo de menos. El problema es que no es el material que se indica y no conserva la temperatura como la botella de acero de doble pared que ya he utilizado anteriormente de esta misma marca. La he devuelto las dos veces. Pienso que hay un error en código del articulo. Sigo interesada e la botella térmica de acero inoxidable de Laken, pero ya no lo intento más

Beställt 2 gånger och fått en vanlig vattenflaska båda gångerna. Gav upp, vill fortfarande köpa en orange Laken termos, de är jättebra!!!

El color es exactamente igual que en la imagen, el agua dura horas y horas fría aunque la temperatura del exterior sea superior, por tanto es ideal para llevarla a la playa o de caminata. La pintura es muy resistente, pues no se raya con facilidad. Muy recomendable.
