works EXACTLY as advertised. make sure youre installing them correctly—putting up one side before sliding the other side into place. the two sides should lock in place this way. if not, youre doing it wrong

Worked well, but needed a different solution next to the wall.
These work awesome to hang my very light pendant light. I reversed two of them and made a circle 8 with the wire so it didn’t slip down. Then I linked the cord to the wall. Note, I had to do a different work out once I got to the wall because it can’t grab both sides. But that was very simple in my situation and I planned for this. :)

Check Your Ceiling Design B4 Purchasing.
Worked great. I was unable to use the right and left pieces together due to how our office ceilings are designed. But I found that one side of the hook could function by itself and get the job done since what I was hanging was not very heavy.Be aware that if your office ceilings have a metal piece inside the ceiling where the white bars are, you may not be able to use this hook as intended. And if what you are hanging is at all heavy you Will probably not be able to just use one side of the hook.

Perfect for drop ceiling
I have a Hoberman Sphere that I like to hang over my desk at work. Earlier solutions seem very crude in comparison. These hooks fit on the drop ceiling grid, and allow the tiles to fit in normally. They can also slide fairly easily to fine tune position of what you're hanging.
