35mm F1.4 DG DN for Sony E Mount

Currently using a APSC camera so this is my first prime high-quality lens. The sharpness is great, it weights a little bit too much for me, but the difference in price with Sony it's a lot.

I bought this for my Leica SL2, to do a 35+83 combo for events. I heard great things from another photographer. Since I got this lens I shot the daylight out of it. It is like a dream. Sharp, with great bokeh. Worked great for landscape, food, portrait, and events. Focusing speed and accuracy is ok, limited by SL2. I'm used to heavy lenses so the weight really does not bother me. As for the event with flash, it worked like a dream. The files came out beautifully.

This lens is impressive! The image quality is extremely sharp, although it is somewhat heavy. The 35mm focal range is incredibly versatile and one of my favorites. The value for image and build quality is outstanding.

Great build quality, shoots sharp images with my a6400. Overall, amazing lens. Highly recommend.

Great product for content creation, especially for beauty content creators like me. Focus works precisely, beautiful bokeh. But it quite heavy

I have taken thousands of photos with this lens on a Lumix S5 before writing this review. It's large and heavy, and I think that pairs well with the S5 which is a heavy camera. I use it mostly for street and action photography, and the size and weight help aim and stabilize the shots. I wish the autofocus could be faster, but honestly I think it's respectable. For action photography, I often have to crop heavily. The lens resolution appears very well suitable for the 6K resolution of the S5. My S5 also has a 12K resolution mode, but it offers essentially zero benefit over the 6K mode due to chromatic aberration, so 6K appears to be the limit of either my camera or this lens.

The quality of this lens is astonishing. I have not taken it off since it arrived. I was on the fence between the Sigma and Sony and went with the Sigma based on price. I’m sure the Sony lens is also fantastic, but hard to beat the price of the sigma. Portraits, landscapes, action… my photos have never looked better. Don’t hesitate with this purchase.

A great and incredibly sharp lens with a very solid build quality. I shoot this at 1.4 most of the time and definitely see fringing around leaves silhouetted by the sky and other high contrast areas. Not sure if the Sony 35mm 1.4 GM does this but I’m not too broken up by it.
