Nifty Notions Electric Seam Ripper

First, I love that I can zip open a seam in a jiffy rather than hours of the traditional 1-stitch-at-a-time, painstakingly making certain that I don’t rip the fabric.Second, I love the red color! Mine is different from all my guild-mates, so I don’t lose it when eee are all madly piecing our quilts, trying to finish before our date for our long-armer to do their part.I’ve had no problems, and when you get the hang of how to hold your fabric, you’ll literally zip right through the seam in seconds.Third, is a con….. you have to pick out all the pieces of thread, but that’s true for the traditional seem ripper too.In summary, easy to use, great time saver inexpensive & effective gadget. Worth every penny!

Just got this so gave it a small test run, so far I'm pleased, very small so may be difficult for some to hold, cut pretty easy and faster than I expected, no need to push hard on fabric, will cut edges of fabric if you run it along the edge but flat on fabric does well. At this time I'm pleased with it and possibly buying a spare

This is a good product if you have to open a seam. I bought it for use with machine embroidery and removing mistakes. It does not work for that purpose at all.
