Good for the money but better options
So I held of writing this review for a while because I did return this headset and purchased a different model. I wanted to see if the new model was better or if this was as good as I could expect for the price. So first thing first, this headset is very well built and looks great. It is abit big on the head but very comfy. The RGB lighting is a nice touch if abit pointless on a headset as you will never see them but its still pretty cool if you like that sort of thing.Using the device was simple enough and installing roccats peripheral software swarm allows you to tweak some settings for the headset and mic. The mic is also detachable which is exactly what I wanted. So far so good, but.......Now we come to the sound. I tried this on destiny, division 2, doom eternal, rage 2, gears 5 and bannerlord.I wasnt impressed, everything sounded artificial and simulated. True this is slightly improved with 7.1 turned off but still it just didn't sound right. Sound and vision is always a subject matter as we all hear and see things slightly different but I personally just didn't like what I was hearing. It wasn't terrible it just wasn't good and that's why I waited til I received a different headset to see if this is the norm for this price.I instead purchased the razer blackshark v2, I know these are £40 more but from what I've seen from countless reviews is that the cheaper v2x model by razer is just as good sound wise as its more expensive brother and the only reason I got the more v2 model was purely for the fact that the mic is not removable on the cheaper one.The sound is so much better on the v2 that I cant recommend this when for the same price you can buy the v2x.Its a shame because these are a great product, very well built, but there's better for the money.

Not worth the hassle.
UPDATE:After outlining all the issues to the Roccat support team, their solution was it reinstall the drivers. Therefor I have returned the headset. So where to start with this headset, the build quality feels superb, much more sturdier than the Logitech G533 these have replaced, the AIMO RGB lighting does look nice and definitely adds to the headset. The setup, my god this tested my patience. It took a good 2 hours to stop getting the headset to try and install the c audio driver, I managed to get this sorted by restoring the device then doing the update. However I can not change the audio sampling rate from 16 bit DVD quality, I have submitted a support ticket so if this gets resolved I will update this review accordingly. The audio sounds a little washed out, and there is a noticeable electronic hum and background static while there is audio output, very noticeable when you pause the audio and can hear it before it cuts out. This audio quality is akin to a cheap Bluetooth headset, these are blown out of the water by my G533's.The mic is so so, not bad not good. Would you use it for content creation, streaming, youtube videos etc, no. Would you use it for in game comms and talking to your friends, yes. It's clear and understandable, but lacks depth and fidelity. It is a shame that such a good looking, well built headset which is comfy and doesn't annoy my glasses like my previous 533's is paired with such crappy audio & rubbish software. I thought the logitech software was bad, but Roccat swarm has took the crown of rubbish software. On further investigation, I installed realtech audio drivers which added to further dismay and made the headset to not output any audio causing another factory reset and driver install fiasco.

Wouldnt bother
I've just got this headset. Used for roughly 8 hours trying to get used to them. When in Discord chatting to your friends. They sound off. Something just isn't right, slightly digital sound. Even with all the tinkering on the rubbish Swarm app (And it is rubbish) connecting the headset to app was easy but it had a habit of disconnecting. Had to restart my PC to reconnect again (Hasn't done it today tho). Even keeping the voice and audio clarity off. It makes people in Discord sound even worse than it already is when switched on. The ear cushions would be nice if it was fabric like the head rest not some soft leather that's going to make you sweat if you plan a long gaming session. I am going to be returning them and go back to my RIG 800LX plus they felt more comfortable.EDITED:Extra issue. When playing cross-play and have to use the xbox app to talk to friends. When you press the mute button on the side, it doesn't always want to unmute. I thought I'd give it one more chance after discovering more settings in the audio properties (which did help slightly but not a lot) Its now packed away waiting to be shipped off.

Amazed by this headset
ROCCAT has never disappointed me with any of their products. I own Vulcan Aimo keyboard, Kone Aimo RGB Remastered mouse and Taito Control mousepad. Everything works and looks so so so good. And these headphones, oh boy, I'm so impressed. For the price they asking these are more then perfect. Sound is great, mic is great. Really happy with this purchase.
