It's a big one!
I wanted something to take to the beach so I don't burn. This will do it.It's bigger than I expected, but I wanted it to be comfortable when someone comes to the beach with me, so I don't regret it. That said, I might also get a smaller one for the days when I'm out on my own, one that folds up to a smaller diameter (this one folds to a 29 inch diameter, which is one of the largest sizes). If you're not a handy person (e.g. IKEA is your nemesis, puzzles are pain, not pleasure), you might want to stop here, because the folding up does require some dexterity and spatial awareness. If that's not your thing, a more conventional beach parasol/umbrella is going to be a lot less annoying for you than this type of popup tent.If you are handy (IKEA does not scare you), this is a super-easy, barely-an-inconvenience fold away. It's not in any way an IKEA product, but it's that kind of thinking.Setup: It's a popup, so it sets up fast and easy. Take it out, and let it fly!Keeping the tent in place at the beach: The sand pockets and tent pegs are in a separate little bag inside the carry-case. Don't forget about them, or your tent might fly away.Fold-Away: Make sure you learn to fold it up before you go to the beach. If you're a handy-type, watch the videos on youtube, and practice once, it's a cakewalk. I do like that they include an attached strap to hold the disk together (after it's folded) to make it easier to insert back into the sleeve/carry-case.There's even an illustrated step-by-step guide printed on the carry-case itself (see photo) to remind you how to fold it once you're at the beach. The illustrated guide is also there for all the folks who won't watch the videos before they go to the beach (you know who I'm talking about, the one who's NOT here doing the research on Amazon and YouTube with you...) I still recommend watching the videos and practicing the folding and not relying solely on the illustrated guide.I would love it if the tent had that extra inside silver-insulation lining because I believe that layer reflects both light and heat, but since the tent is open in the front and has mesh on the other 3 sides, I don't think heat will be an issue. Also, the dark polyester top should provide suitable, 50+ UPF protection according to the science I found on the internet.Note that the mesh on the sides will allow sun through, so you'll be best protected by the tent during the middle hours of the day. If a family of four is piled in (snuggly) and the sun is getting low, someone's going to be getting sun. With one or two people, I am guessing we can probably move around the space to find sufficient shade. But I don't know yet.

The best thing since sliced bread for going to places you want to be able to view while in the tent!
I unfortunately didn't get pics from it being set up, and initially I was skeptical of the size because it's kind of promoted as a "baby" tent (and we don't have any babies) but some reviews said it was big enough for like 2 adults I was skeptical but lemme tell ya, it's no joke. This has to be the biggest "baby" tent I've seen. Now it did still fit in our small living room, but it was plenty enough room for me, my fiance, and our "baby" sized dog. It's also very light and airy, and only took a minute to pop out and to put it back away. It takes up very little room being in the circle shaped packaging. I might actually try it while camping on a mountain this summer, and I absolutely will take it with us when we go to the beach. It would be very useful for perhaps keeping items more secure or even watching the sunset on the beach without being chilly!

Served me good for 3 years
I love this tent! Always catches the attention of passerby when I am at the beach. Easy to set up, a bit difficult to fold the first few times but once you get the hang of it, you're good to go! Wish it had backpack straps instead of handles. After 3 years, one of the sticks snapped :'( kinda bummed. Be careful when this happens, you will get micro splinters.

Must Have Versatile Beach Tent
I absolutely love this beach tent. When open, this tent is large and perfect for protecting babies, children and large enough for an adult to get protection from the sun. Although it’s called a beach tent, I think it’s ideal for other uses as well. Picnics. Backyard bbq’s. Kids might have fun with it as a fun tent to play in their bedroom. The tent folds up to a small, quite manageable size and has its own carrying case with instructions printed on the case as to how to fold the tent up. Very convenient. The tent also comes with stakes and sand bags to hold it down if needed. And it looks great!
