Picatinny Optics Riser Mount Red Dot Riser Mount 8 Slot Picatinny Rail 3.5 inch for Red Dot Sight Scope Mount

I haven't had a chance to take photos.I purchased the more expensive (maybe Originator design) of this product and I just wasn't settling with the price I paid. I know the old adage "buy once cry once", but it just wasn't sitting with me. So I purchased this much more affordable (value) version to compare.I'm not a metallurgist, It's made of a metal material, and painted black...lol. Compared to the original ($$$) design; it has the similar weight and density. The measurements and proportions are RIGHT, the height is the same or similar to the eye. The design is so close that I didn't catch the difference outside two feet. The name of the company isn't inscribed on the side and the bottom; the rail lug is centered. I believe the original design was off set. Probably so you know which is the original and which is the "knock off".It wouldn't surprise me if these were manufactured at the same factory, because That's how close the product is. NOW the original ($$$) does come with the screw having the thicker thread locker on them. This design comes with dry screws; no problem, put some thread locker on them and let them sit for 12 hours before install.I haven't range tested it yet, I'll add or modify this review after I do; BUT, once installed this thing is perfect. Tight and secure, the XPS3 is tightly in place and high enough for the heads-up display. I tested the fitment with NVG's/Helmet and it's perfect height.So I'm not going to convince you to not buy the $$$; simply if in a pinch, and and you'd rather spend the extra money elsewhere this is a high value design and option and installed, works (thus far) great.

I’ve tried several of these clones, and so far this is the best one. The machining isn’t perfect, but the rails seem good enough for optics to mount without difficulty and weird issues like being canted to one side. Additionally, the finish appears to be anodized instead of shiny black paint like other clones. It matches the anodizing of the ither metal parts that constitute my self defense apparatus. It would be nice for them to clone the taller version of this product, which I did purchase from the real deal and paid a ton of money.

I put this on my AR with no issues, fits tight, holds my sight perfectly, exactly what I wanted and didn't have to spend over $100 for a name brand one.

I bought this riser because I got a 3x magnifer and it was taller so I needed this to raise my red dot installed easy

If you are trying to use this knock off over time, it is to fail sooner or later. The screw on mine has stripped and will not hold zero for an optic. The Unity mount that I bought for another firearm before I bought this is still holding strong.

The thread holes and screws are two different sizes, or one is out of spec. This means the screws still wiggle when fully threaded. It will tighten down enough for mild use, but would probably strip the screws or threading if you tightened it down. Also, the mount has a slight downward (to the left) cant when mounted. I tried flipping the black clamp plate, but it was still canted. It wouldn't matter much for airsoft or on a single dot style red dot, but you would notice it with any sort of optic that had horizontal/vertical markings, like a crosshair. If they fixed those two things, it would be a good mount. The base itself seems well made.

It’s a riser. Very sturdy, almost over built, but aesthetically pleasing. Machining is surprisingly clean at this or any price range.
