FUN and WELL DESIGNED
Great design and they did an excellent job with the subject material. I think there is something for everyone in this coloring book that will make people of all backgrounds who are patriotic happy. It is printed on good paper, the layout does not go into the margins. Easy to color and enough sophistication to make adults happy. I think there will be many happy hours of creative fun for everyone, a little history lesson (not boring or too studious), great music recommendations, the depth of fun and satisfaction is there to experience as you see fit.

Good Quality, Variety of Styles of Coloring Pages
The God Bless America coloring book will appeal to creative Patriotic Christians with its variety and inspirational and historically significant quotes. I especially appreciate that nine different artists came together to illustrate this book, so as you turn pages, different scenes and styles surprise you. There are 37 actual coloring pages with quotations in or around them from individuals like Francis Scott Key, Frederick Douglass, Harry S. Truman, Patrick Henry, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Rosa Parks, Susan B. Anthony, (and others) and a couple Bible verses and other phrases. The bright white pages are thick (cardstock) and are perforated at the left edge if you wanted to remove them, but they have held strong when I pressed the book flat for coloring ease. The backside of each coloring page has a few paragraphs about the person (or other source such as the Declaration of Independence or the Pledge of Allegiance) who was quoted on the front. I appreciate that it offers more than a few sentences- enough for you to learn from. Scenery, animals, depicted historical moments and locations are just a few of the coloring pages, some of which you can see in the photos below this review. The book has a good quality feel to it and works well with markers or colored pencils.I would recommend this coloring book to others and it could be a fun way to keep older kids occupied while they listen to history books read aloud. Allowing my kids to play with Legos or do other activities while listening actually helps keep them engaged (they don't feel bored to tears having to sit perfectly still the whole time), but sometimes their 'activity' distracts them from the content, so I like historical coloring pages to keep their hands moving and minds engaged.*UPDATE: Although the pages are perforated, even having creased them beforehand, they did not tear at the perforation, but rather at the binding. This is a minor issue, but worth mentioning. On the plus side, I discovered these pages hold up quite well when using Watercolor Pencils and brushing the colored areas with a bit of water. No bleeding or warping occurred when I did so.In the interest of full disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of this book from BloggingforBooks.com for the purpose of reviewing. I was not required to give a positive review, my opinions are honest!

Beautiful, Educational, and Inspirational/ Provides a Easy to Medium Level Coloring Experience
Brand new clean coloring book. The pages are really thick and one could use regular Crayola markers or art markers (Not Sharpies) without the color bleeding through to the next page. The drawings range from more detailed pictures of the Liberty Bell and the Monticello to more simple collages and word illustrations like the cover art. Each page has a quote relevant to American history on the picture to be colored. On the back of each page, there is a history lesson, song, or poem relevant to the preceding picture. (The pages are not double sided with the coloring pictures.) This book is really nice and educational and inspirational. I may upload a photo when I finish coloring a page. The pictures are so nice I almost want to leave them blank!

This is a really nice coloring book
This is a really nice coloring book. The pages are printed on nice heavy paper, are perforated and are printed on only one side of the page. Most of the pages have a quote by a famous American (Franklin D. Roosevelt, Neil Armstrong, Lady Bird Johnson, Susan B. Anthony, etc.) woven into the coloring picture. The 37 pictures here are all beautifully drawn (by nine different artists) but are not all drawn in the same style. The back of each page has a couple of paragraphs about the person quoted in the picture. The pictures that do not have a quote, such as the Grand Canyon, have a couple of paragraphs about it. Every picture is patriotic and American and there is something here for everyone - some intricate pictures to color, some pictures with bigger spaces where you will be able to practice lots of advanced coloring techniques such as shading. Some of the images included here are the Statue of Liberty, the Liberty Bell, bald eagles and the American flag.Because the pages are perforated, they are easy to remove for easy coloring and/or framing. The paper is heavy and doesn't have much texture.Overall a winner, and perfect as a gift for the patriotic person in your life - or for yourself!

Beautiful!
This coloring book is beautiful! I am in love with the designs. There are some religious pages so I will have to keep those for myself instead of making them available to my high school history students. I expected religious aspects based on the title but wasn’t expecting bible verses. It’s such a beautiful coloring book and I can’t wait to have the designs on the walls in my classroom!

Great coloring book
I got this coloring book from hobby lobby years ago and was coloring while at work for my husband over the years. Someone stole my it and I was so upset. GlAd I was able to replace it. This is great. The pages are clear and I love the quotes that go alone with every page.

Images aren't in a very consistent style and some just aren't very fun
This is one of those colouring books where each image is very different from the next, and some feel like photos that have just been made into lines. Don't see a lot of artistry here.

Very nice coloring book with a great selection of coloring pages
Very nice coloring book with a great selection of coloring pages. The pages are heavy stock, not thin and the colors look nice as you lay them on the page. I've only use colored pencils in the book so far, but the pages are thick enough that gel pens would probably work well, too.
