Can a person of 130lbs sit on this without deforming or damaging the item?

This is a strange question, but I weigh 130 pounds so I decided to sit on my office file and find out. Sitting on it did not deform or damage the item. I could feel the top give though as I sat down. Over a period of time, the top would probably break or sag permanently in the middle. One other thing — I have the file sitting on a white, wooden Pottery Barn desk set in a sunny office. Black dye from the file has rubbed off on the white desk top and stained the finish. So if you purchase the file, you might want to put some kind of mat underneath it to protect furniture. I’ve had mine for several years and like it. It looks nice and works well with hanging files.
