20 Pcs Emergency Safety Whistle Plastic Whistles Set with Lanyard

Tested it and people able to hear me about 1/4~1/5 miles away at open space, I placed in our tornado shelter ( under ground ), vehicles, emergency bags. and gave away a few to my neighbors for just in case.Whistle sure beat yelling, and it performs very well, I am planning to buy more and gift it to friends and family !

I wanted a whistle to keep on my key chain. This fits the bill perfectly. It is lightweight and slim. It’s loud. It’s inexpensive. There are plenty in the box (20). So I can share with family & friends. Each whistle has a string attached which is removable. The string does not have a break away feature. So if you are thinking about this for a child, consider buying a break away lanyard.For my use, I have one on my key chain for every day. Hopefully will never have to blow it. For walks, I carry one around my neck as there are bears, mountain lions and coyotes in the area. Because this whistle is slim and not bulky like the old school silver whistles, it’s comfortable in a pocket. Good for hikers, joggers, skiers…

These bright orange, light weight whistles arrived promptly and in good condition. I think the lanyards are a bit short but still useful. The whistles have no moving parts. I find them a bit tough to use, but a brief burst of air does make a shrill sound. -Cleared the room of all pets. Overall this is a good value and quality There are enough for all go bags and car emergency kits and some to spare. Additionally the bright orange makes them easy to locate and versatile as they can also become visual emergency signals.

Super loud and great budget. All my kids wear them while hiking camping and kayaking. I’ve put one on every life jacket and in all of our backpacks.

On a search mission with my Fire Department a few days ago (in the Rockies) several of us found that we could really use whistles for signaling and didn't have them. The freezing person that we were searching for certainly could have used one. So, I bought a box full for my kit, vehicles, family members and a bunch to hand out at my Department. These things are painfully loud and rugged. The lanyard is very nice to have and the orange color makes them harder to lose. Please have one with you when you're in the wilderness or boating. Actually, these might be loud enough to startle a bear or mountain lion if the situation demands it.

Nice and loud -- low cost attention getter

Everyone how has reviewed them are "Loud" are correct. Don't see anything about how many decibels, but to me, louder than my Fox 40. Do not give these to children as "Toys". Even if you can stand the sound, think of the serenity of others, lawsuits, and the child's safety.Which makes them GREAT emergency whistles. Good quality plastic, not going to crack or snap. Tougher and safer than the Spalding coach whistle sitting in front of me.The Lanyard? You need to replace them with something. Especially if you are going to hand them to kids, but this goes for adult too. I'm not going around with these around MY neck because I love me. I was pulling and tugging checking the strength. Got curious so I went outside with a sturdy stick to hold to the swing set, tossed one end over the top bar and put the stick through the two loops. And lifted my feet and suspended my 190 pound self with my feet off the ground without damaging the cord. A definite strangulation issue.And in the end, I got 20 loud whistles for $11 with emergencies and rescue in mind and am totally satisfied with my purchase.

Good product for the price point. Bought them to make hug a tree kits for our beaver colony and cub pack. These were in the price point we were looking for and the quality is decent for what we are using them for.
