Superb
Excellent product had this on my 2006 Sportster 1200 and just installed one on my 2012 Heritage Classic along with V&H 3 " Slash Down Mufflers and V&H FuelPak. Bike runs, sounds, excellerates better than expected. Installed everything myself. You wo't be disappointed.

Good performance but not manufactured very well.
I just had to order another K&N filter kit. I had the original one just over 2 years (March 2016) and when I was doing maintenance on my bike I noticed that the holes that bolt to the throttle body were cracked and broken loose from the backing plate so I have to replace it. It is a pretty poor design and I am sure K&N could of added a little more material in that area to keep the backing plate from breaking. The second thing is the filter gets stuck to the backing plate and I had to use a gasket scraper between the plate and filter to get it to come loose, this is the second time it stuck since I installed it. The only reason I am purchasing another kit from K&N is the bike was Dynoed with this set up and I didn't want to have to get it done again. I may look at other air filter options in the future.

Great product!
Used it on my Softail and noticed an immediate difference in torque and overall power. Especially at higher RPMs. Easy to install and step by step installation. Relatively quick and easy way to upgrade your existing engine.

dont waste your money
mounting plate broke in less than 3 months of use. put this on my 07 E G Classic. easy to install, but broke at the throttle body mounts due to vibration, plus had to use force to remove breather. spend the extra money on a different breather assembly

Excellent product.
Fit perfectly-easy installation. I very seldom run my 2009 Heritage over 3500-4000 rpm so I'm not sure about the power increase, but looking at the graphs I believe it would be there. Bike is very more responsive. Excellent product.

K&N filter kit
Recieved the kit and was impressed with the packaging and design of the kit. Installation was easy, however the supplied thread lock compound was poor quality. Within 1 day the bolts to the standoffs were loose. Took the whole kit off and found the bolts that went into heads were also loose. Cleaned off all of the old thread locker and applied Loctite Blue thread lock, 30 days later and nothing has loosened up. Great product but they should not have cheaped out on the thread locker

Fitment wont work and Tech service sucks
I don't think it was as much the seller as the product. K & N Filters had a tech line and I called them about fit. They assured me it would fit to follow directions. As I had to drill hole in it for venting, than found out the Banjo bolts couldn't be tightened with stock banjo bolts for carbureted model. They said they would allow me to send it back to K & N filters direct but never followed thru with shipping. So now I have a filter system that can't be used without buying a set of new banjo bolts that cost 35 dollars apiece from Harley Davidson. Very disappointed.

good product, bad instructions. otherwise all is fine, merry christmas and a happt new year. all is well that ends well

better then stage one screamin eagle. the trotthe responce is realy good and a had issuer with my valve when i requierd power. i only had to buy two original screw where the air filter hold to the head. For the price, nothing compare. Softail 2002

Habe am Samstag dieses Kit an meiner 2007 er 96CI Heritage verbaut und sofort bemerkt das im unteren Drehzahlbereich deutlich mehr Leistung vorhanden ist. Einziges Manko ist die englische Einbauanleitung.
