The charge is adequate for a much longer time than previously manufactured similar items. We have two, and use them to vacuum pack items after a fishing trip, and throughout the summertime for berries from our orchard. Very useful item, easy to clean and store.

I have a big table model Food Saver vacuum sealer. I’ve had it for going on 15 years. Well, it had a sealer to the side on it for resealable bags and for lids. That part stopped working. I had to have a resealable bag option! I know and trust the Food Saver brand name. So, I purchased the hand held FS model. It’s working like a charm!!

Overall grade? B-I have a FoodSaver bag sealer with a built-in bag/container vacuum attachment. The problem with the built in attachment is that when it becomes damaged, there is no way to repair/replace it, other than buying a whole new FoodSaver appliance.So, I purchased this device.As I said, it works, but with limitations.• The power of the device is much less than a built-in device. Which means that it works more slowly.• It does not click on (Or off). You have to manually hold down the power button.• It does not stop when it reaches the maximum vacuum point. Which means that when using a zip-lock type vacuum bag, you have to watch the bag and stop the device at the appropriate time. If you are using a hard sided container, you have to listen to the sound. When the pitch is a higher tone, then it has reached a satisfactory vacuum level.On the plus side, the mouth of the device is round, as opposed to the old style FoodSaver attachment which has an oval mouth. This means that it works better with competitor’s bags, which use a round seal flap.Disregard the criticism by some of the initial 24-hour charge time before use. That is simply sound advice to extend the lifespan of the battery.When you get used to the limitations, it does prove to be a useful tool.

Absolute junk. Worked about 4 times and then just stopped. I bought this to replace the one on my food saver machine that stopped working after about a year. I have always loved my food saver machines but their quality has completely tanked in the last few years. Guess I’ll be looking for a better quality brand.

This little food sealer works great with everything I've used it on. Very compact and efficient. Only problem is I've found only one bag (quart) size. Would like larger bags so will have to search further.

This product is as advertised and is what I needed.

I'm disappointed. This FoodSaver Handheld doesn't work on all of my containers. It works very well on the new containers (black lid with green vac button). It will work with the really OLD containers using the small probe to insert into the lid (white lids with a hole in the top for the suction to be applied).However, I have four containers that fall in the middle of those two. They're not old and they're not the newest version.They have a white lid with a gray oval for the suction to be applied. The Handheld device is ROUND. Won't work. It's a shame, because the reason I bought this was because my attachment that goes on the FoodSaver machine no longer stays plugged in. I have to hold everything together until the suction starts working...that takes 3 hands. Unfortunately, I only have 2 hands.Not sure if I'll keep this or send it back.
